I been looking up the college talent and here are some 2nd round talents or summer league/training camp additions
these are the type of players to help round out a 2nd unit and get contributions near the double digits in points

Marial Shayok - Canadian (Iowa St, SF, Senior) 6'6'' Julius Erving award finalist /BIG12
eFG% .571 and TS% .612
(.512 and .568 Devonte Graham snr season was close)
https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/marial-shayok-1.html

Isaiah Joe - AR (Arkansas, SG, Freshman) 6'5'' 2nd highest freshman in 3FGM /SEC
on a list of just 21 freshmen since 1992 to make at least 100 threes
eFG% .578 and TS% .599
(.512 and .568 Devonte Graham snr season was close)
https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/isaiah-joe-1.html

Aric Holman - KY (Miss St, C, Junior) 6'10'' Second consecutive season above .43% in threes /SEC
eFG% .571 and TS% .591
(.512 and .568 compare to Devonte Graham snr season was close)
https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/aric-holman-1.html

Tyrese Haliburton - WI (Iowa St, PG, Freshman) 6'5'' /BIG12
eFG% .668 and TS% .672 / AST% 17.7  and TO% 13.3 and USG% 9.3
(.580 and .604 / 19.1 and 15.2 and 16.9 compare to Devonte Graham soph season)

Just did the research for my own fun and some ideas for the Hornets if I could throw them some names that are likely to be left at the backend.
I'd rather we went low risk took players in the draft that may be overlooked, save the cap space for when it really matters, those 1 or 2 or 3 players that make a difference.
Whilst the others from the bench make a difference, smart efficient players etc.

With a local pick from the Carolinas in the 2nd round

Nicolas Claxton - SC (Georgia, C, Soph) 6'11'' /SEC
eFG% .490 and TS% .533 / AST% 12.2 and BLK% 8.0
(compare .566 and .571 / 5.7 and 5.0 Jarrett Allen freshman season)

I like Cassius Winston in the 2nd round or undrafted training camp/2 way player.
6'1'' PG former teammate of Miles.
Big 10 POY
TS% .606, eFG% .553, ASST% 45.9
https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/cassius-winston-1.html

It's "like" having another Kemba type of player.
Great kid, tough nut, mature balanced game.
Well coached, rapport with Miles.
Fits with coach JB, be tough, push the pace, pass the ball, attack rim and shoot from 3.
Good to assist Monk and Billy. I wouldn't mind Mitch doing something similar with what he did to get Devonte'.
If we kept Kemba, we'd have Devonte', Cassius. If Tony retires or Kemba leaves, we need a solid PG.

I like the fact that we finally started playing our youth (and winning), sadly this is at the end of the season. How crappy is it going to be that we went all in on the playoffs, miss the playoffs, and then pick 12 to 14 (again). It is obvious that a clear direction for the team is needed. Instead we just keep winning enough to distance ourselves from good draft picks and losing enough to miss the playoffs. When this team decides it has had enough of this, then we will finally have a path forward. Until then, let us take a look at who we can pick between picks 12 and 14.

Well, my favorite players at pick 12 (meh) are:

Keldon Johnson SG (Would likely mean Monk is a bust if we pick him)

Romeo Langford SG (Same as above)

Bruno Fernando PF/C

Jaxson Hayes PF/C

Overall the talent after pick 8 is going to be the classic Hornets/Bobcats "solid" variety. If Kemba leaves there is no need to draft a PG because after the top 8 there will be a steep drop off in PG talent. If Cobi White was to fall out of the top 10 then we should run to the podium to draft him, but that will not likely happen on draft night. So, overall meh hopes in this draft unless the NBA tosses us a top 3 pick.

I like the idea of local talents from the carolinas playing with the local pro team.
Devonte Graham is an example of that. Also I've previously mentioned that Coby, Zion and Ja are all carolina natives - so the talent is nearby.

well at PG I like Chris Clemons.
his TS% .594 and eFG% .540 are identical with Durants .587 and .536.
Of course there are difference in conferences and other factors but still fun to research.
Also comparing their usage % 36 to 33.

At a minimum if Chris is overlooked I'd like to see him at training camp/summer league/ 2 way contract.
Even if we use a pick at the back end of the draft (51-60).
We took Chealey as a 2 way undrafted.

If Tony and Kemba left we could use local talents Devonte' and Chris.
I've previously mentioned Cassius Winston as another idea at PG, draft pick/undrafted.

I don't trust the lotto picks too much with our history so I spend time with low risk 2nd round/undrafted talents.
This way no reason to upset others saying what a waste of a lotto pick.
He finished 3rd in career D1 scoring behind Maravich and Freeman Williams.
NBA combine record is 46 inch running vertical. Chris has 44 inch vertical.
At 5'9'' this helps him get off jumpers and attack the rim. He dunks and has great landing mechanics - using 2 feet.
