Oh I see, so I have to answer a loaded question you pose? You do understand that your question was a loaded question, right?

Yes or no please.

No, I don't understand how "Are you open to folks addressing your concerns with Gettleman's drafting, FA, and trades?" was a loaded question, unless you thought providing clarity on what is considered an "open" mindset by most folks made it so. There is nothing presumptuous about defining intent.

Your turn! Are you open to folks addressing your concerns with Gettleman's drafting, FA, and trades?

Nah, no semantics. Boring game.

So Gettleman made the Giants eat 15 million in JPP's cap hit, and then turned around and signed Oliver Vernon to an atrocious contract for half the production. Smart lad there.

Do you think cutting players like Smith and Norman were smart moves? Do you understand how much cap space was spent on trying to find replacements, and failing? How about how much draft capital was squandered? Did having 20 million in cap space in season in 2016 do anything for the Panthers, no? It didn't did it? The Panthers went from one of the best teams in the NFL to having nearly the worst pass defense, and going onto missing the Super Bowl window, which I assure you is real. Though I guess having money to sign players like Matt Kalil, Nate Soldner was worth it.

Smith-definitely. Even Smitty has said he needed to go for it to become Cams team. We went to a SB without him and his attitude which by that point wa toxic.

He could have kept Norman on the tag. But Norman refused to sign it, and Gettleman didn’t want an unhappy. Unstable on a good day CB eating up 14M. He could have easily did what Leveon Bell did. Or signed and complained every day.. There sure is no justification of giving him the 5/75M he got. Think the Redskins are glad they did? I’d of rather he played out the tag. But there were many things that could have gone wrong with that too.

So letting one player go, who refused to negotiate, is a “history” of not signing franchise players? Cherry-pick something else and stay as far away from those FACTS as you can. They scary.

Oh wow, Cam's team, I understand now. When did Smith say this?

So how happy was Cam in 2014 throwing to a rookie, and nobodies, or in 2015 losing the Super Bowl because receiver couldn't catch and couldn't get open, or in 2016 when he had literally no one, or in 2017 when he had no one but a runningback to throw to?

So the Panthers ate dead money to cut Smith, signed a poo load of throw away receivers, and then missed on many draft picks (funchess trade up lmaooo).

wow

Letting go of JPP and signing Oliver Vernon, another classic. Oliver Vernon the third highest cap hit on the team, LOL!

Olivier Vernon was signed 18 months before DG took over. Nice Fact you threw out there. Got any others fiction you want to tell us

Just going to keep playing semantics and posing loaded questions instead of addressing real things that actually happened.

Gotcha, so you're not interested in anything other than what you believe. I appreciate the clarification despite how long it took for you to be as close to upfront as you could.

wow

This year. NFL network Sunday morning show.

Im pretty sure Cam was happy winning MVP. But that’s me.

And if he could have cut any of the other ridicucontracts he was saddled with(like 2 RBS!!!) he might not have. But someone had to go. And we were a playoff(and SB) team without him.

Keep posting. There is nothing I could possibly say that would do more amge than our own “facts”.

You're wasting your time, hoss. They're not interested in a discussion, just trolling. Hence their desperate attempts to gaslight instead of answering a yes/no question. Just let them keep slinging poo at the wall, they're the ones that have to sleep next to it.

I mean if facts are trolling, then I'm a troll.

How about addressing my concerns with Gettleman's drafting, free agency, and poor trades, instead of defaulting to the "i'm old asf so I know better" "i'm so above this discourse" card you pull every time you get into an arguement you can't win. it's old.

You don't have facts. The whole "value" thing if you just throwing out some bullsh-t to try to make it sound like you know something.

But I tell you what: I'll agree to engage in a conversation with you if you can actually put some numbers behind it.

If you can find a draft value chart (and link to it so we know you're not just making up numbers) and use that chart to make an argument that we got poor value last year, then we'll listen.

Otherwise, you'll still be considered just a stupid five-year-old running around shouting "poopy" to try and annoy the adults in the room.

At this point it feels like I’m pistol-whipping a blind kid.

I’m still curious about how much time these peopl spend on NYG message boards? And brag about it. That’s a particular kind of hatred there.

This thread made me go back and look a bit at the Giants roster and how it's put together.

They have structured that thing to be ready for a complete rebuild after the 19 season.

Eli off the books for free.  Vernon gone for 4M in each 20 and 21.  Solder gone for 4M each in 20-21.  Ogletree and Jenkins gone for 1.75 each in 20-21.

If they hit on a QB this year or next in the draft, they will have a young QB, Saquon, Engram, OBJ on offense.  And any of the players above that are playing at or near their contract value.

Now the question is if NY will stand for that or not.
