I’ve watched his tape, last season was the only in which is sort of struggled outside of that he’s been a top 10 safety every year since his rookie season.

Landon Collins is 25, has made 3 Pro Bowls, and by all accounts the locker room loves him. Paying him 11 million a year isn't asking too much at all.

Solid player but not a good fit after the Reid signing.  

 

Can we all agree both Gettleman and Hurney have warts?  Does anyone really think that either is actually a good GM.  

Hurney drafted well in the first round, had a couple of FA successes but in the end put us in cap hell, had some very questionable drafts and ultimately built a team that put us in a position to get Cam with the first overall pick.

Gettleman got us out of cap hell while managing to have some success but had some terrible drafts and of course the Kalil contract.

There are competent GM's out there.  Hope Tepper realizes some day that he doesn't have to settle for a mediocre GM.

  Where is this “tape” you speak of. And when did you specifically watch every play of Collins career? And should we believe you(and a huge bias) or PFF who doesn’t have a bias?

judging by your post history your more worried about defending Gettleman than improving the team. Gettleman is a terrible GM  that rode the coattails of players he didn’t even draft, get over it

I don't get the pro/anti-Gettleman an pro/anti-Hurney contingents.

Both did some good things, both ultimately deserved to get fired. Gettleman did a great job digging us out of Hurney's mess, but then quickly turned around and dug his own mess. Hurney was in all likelihood brought back because he was willing to be JR's yes man and take care of Olsen, but then he seems to have knocked it out of the park with his first draft and laid yet another egg in FA.

I think this year is absolutely do or die for Hurney/Rivera. I'm not surprised Rivera was given another year but I honestly am surprised that Hurney was, due to both of their track records. That draft probably gave Hurney a life raft.
