so this apparently hasn't actually happened yet and nobody is even positive it will.

If it does the panthers need to be all over it before FA kicks off.

Houston is over 30 isn't he?

Seems like we are going the younger route with the moves we had made on defense so far (TD/Adams).

Adams and munnerlyn were cut because they had become terrible football players

are we gonna get 9mil production outta Shaq? or, are we still trying to jam the square peg in the round hole.

Either extend him, trade him, cut him, or let him play out the contract.

Nobody is going to trade for him, we won't cut him as we already lost Davis, I'm not really sure that extending him is correct at the moment...so yea, we will likely let him play out the contract and kick the can for 1 more season.

Do you see Shaq as a natural ILB? Seems a bit small no?

no I dont think he's too small. they'll scheme the defense around him and Luke in the middle. things the team needs are edge that can play both OLB and de. so you can run what looks to be a 4-3 but it be a 3-4 and vise versa. it's all about gaps anyways when talking about the difference in even and odd fronts.

Where is he playing in a 3-4 when we go to nickel. Which is around 70% of the time.

depends, could throw out more big nickel looks or some 3-3-5 looks with edges up on the line and him playing olb. just some thoughts, can blitz him some from both formations as well. also looking for 2018 stats but in 2017 Carolina was in base 50% and nickel 49% of the time.

Shaq is 6'0 230

Lets look at some other 3-4 ILB

Ryan Shazier- 6'0 230

Darron Lee- 6'0 230

Rashaan Evans- 6'0 230

Blake Martinez- 6'1 235

Roquan Smith- 6'1 235

Reuben Foster- 6'1 228

Zach Cunningham- 6'2 235

All starters, all similar size to Shaq
