Antonio Brown: If New Team Won't Play by My Rules...I Don't Even Have to Play

He doesn't want to be traded, he wants to be released. If traded he has to play under his old contract or hold out. If released he is able to make whatever contract he wants and not owe the Steelers any of the guaranteed money back. This is all a show to avoid being traded

I don't have any problem with what he said. If a team wants him, they're gonna have to "play by his rules." Of course he is going to have to "play by their rules too...if he wants to be signed." If no team wants to "play by his rules," then he in fact won't play by his own admission. If he's good with that (which I doubt that he is), then great.

I knew he was a diva but damnnnn. No way is this guy worth anything but conditional picks or to dump a player you don't want anymore. He has officially hit master diva level. They should do what we should have done with Norman, get through the draft while drafting an alternative and either cut him or make him play with absolutely no expectations of him showing up.

Look at the past SB winners going back 5 years have any of them had a big time big $ WR eating up cap space.

Three of the five have been the Pats, and everyone knows they do things a little differently. You could argue that the other two, Broncos and Eagles, had big $ receivers depending upon one's definition.

It's funny all these AB threads bashing him, but I guarantee you the people bashing him would be his biggest fans if he was traded to Carolina.

I kind of want this happen just to laugh at all the negative comments afterwards.lol

I'm laughing because u think it would happen. We have no cap room dude, we have to fix this team. Brown will not help this team even if we had money.

I would be excited and certainly hope for the best, but I'd rather we use that cap space and draft assets to shore up far bigger roster weaknesses.

For a guy wanting to be traded and call his own shots as to where he goes, he's probably getting dangerously close to going down that "conduct detrimental to the team" road with a franchise who probably wouldn't hesitate to take that road.

I always love when people wanna sign guys that make a big stink somewhere else because "our locker room can handle it".

It reminds me of the people who cheat with / steal someone else's significant other and then say "Oh, but they'd never cheat on me; they love me!"

For me, it's a lot less about any potential locker room effect and a lot more about how acquiring him would put serious restraints on our ability to address far more pressing roster concerns. Address our pass rush and figuring out our OT situation has to be 1a and 1b right now with everything else a distant 2nd.

Wouldnt want this guy near this team, all he would do is take snaps away from dj and Samuel and even wright. Also with our cap it makes no sense! I once liked him but now he has become cocky like obj thinking his stuff doesn't stink...pass. People act like we need more pass catchers but forget we have cmc olsen(I think hes gonna be back healthy) and a 2nd year ian Thomas who impressed in his rookie season. That's 6 recieving options from average to elite! Honestly dj moore olsen and cmc I would consider elite pass catchers .
