same here, seems like a massive reach for a day 2 OT on day 1. We better trade up or trade down in that situation.

In that mock we coudlve traded down and still got Sweat, D.Lawerence, or Ferrell.

If he is healthy, in no way will Sweat make it to us, I would be so thrilled if he did, even if we traded up to go get him.

I'm still wondering how teams will process the new info...  and as I wondered in another thread, how do they even know which report to trust more?  Sweat acknowledged he had a pre-existing condition before the combine, but now they're saying he was misdiagnosed at the combine.  That makes me wonder if the teams who red flagged him even acknowledge this new report, or do they leave him off of their boards?

I hope he is perfectly healthy and still slides to us.

They probably would have known that a lot earlier than we did.

I'm not sure if this report on Sweat makes any difference or not. Seems like teams would've already arrived at their own independent conclusions. I'm also always super skeptical of stuff like this coming out during draft week anyway.

Yeah, that's what I was getting at...  the timing of this report just seems weird, and super beneficial for a few specific parties, just leaking the report of his condition was initially.

In an interview yesterday, Chris Mortensen said after years of covering the draft now, he has changed how he approaches it...  he said generally, the study you were hearing months ago is the most accurate info.  He said the stuff that comes out the closer you get to the draft is usually stuff from teams trying to maneuver.

This draft and the last have been the hardest to kind of get a feel for in a long time.

Really think teams have gotten better at disinformation and trying to suppress leaks unless they want something leaked. I usually believe the opposite of what I'm hearing, especially the day of the draft.

LOL I don’t think your scout friend’s team knew Sweat doesn’t have an actual heart condition.

I asked him about it earlier in the week and he said "he's not off our board"
