Some notes from my source involving the NFL draft

Nah, that's when we'll take Grier :)

see this is where the problem is.  To get back into the second will probably mean giving away both our 3rds...meaning we don't have pick left for a QB till the 4th.  I understand the need, but I just wish we could wait one more year.

On the subject of Grier, my final, word is the same as I've said before. I like the kid and I'll be happy if we draft him. I'll also be perfectly okay if we don't.

I'm not gonna try to predict whether we will or we won't. I feel pretty comfortable saying we are going to draft a quarterback. I just don't know who and when.

Gary is a tough call. With just a little technique added to that skill set could be nuclear. Some martial arts training would be a good start.

Edoga is someone I noticed during the SR. Bowl. After watching some more he has potential. Even possibly at LT. I thought about him at 115, but it sounds like the secret is out. If they think he can start at LG, He would be a great value. Good call.

Yeh— Gary is a tough call, just like Burns and Dillard so I’m so happy it’s not MY job on the line to be right about the pick.

thats why I’m hoping all 3 of them are gone.

Sweat can be there, id be happy— I think if his heart were really that much of an issue he wouldn’t have competed in the combine.  And of course I stick to my safe picks of Wilkins, Jonah, Ford, Ferrell,.. people grumble at Ferrell but I think he makes an immediate impact and the worst case scenario for him is he’s just a solid starter and never a probowler— that’s his floor.

i have to watch more of the later tackles like Edoga— I only know their names because of the draft simulators,... Edoga, Powers, Prince, Evans,.. Nate from Charlotte. Those OG/OT guys.

Not pissed, but realizing that unless that 1st round OT starts immediately and that QB/FS in the 2nd pays immediate dividends, our DL will causes us huge issues over the next few years for no real help in 2019. That drafting will cause us to pay $31M to Poe and Short for another sub-par year of performance in 2020 and we'll have no DEs again in 2020.

Agree with a lot of that, but I'm honestly not as big a fan of first round tackles starting their rookie seasons as I used to be.

The safety I wanted last year (Justin Reid, still pissed we wasted a 3rd on Gaulden and didn't trade up for Reid who went at the start of the 3rd), pancaked Dillard on a pass rush. Yep, a 200 pound safety pancaked him. He had terrible tape at the Senior Bowl and practices. I still don't get all the good vibes from there on Dillard based on what I saw. I think it was the same, he's got LT quickness at the combine stuff, but ignoring the plays he got destroyed.

LOL.....We were “losing it” with each passing pick wanting Reid. I still think he caught the shrapnel from Eric, somewhat. It sure wasn’t talent or character that caused his fall.

  But hey....we’re Gaulden.

Ed Oliver is a monster— before he really shot up the boards and he was a teens projection I was sure he would be the clear BPA if he did drop to 16,..

he had better go to Oakland or something

Yep anyone not the Gator fugers, bird bitches or ass  pirates ha

Baker is better than both IMO.

This is a weird DB class. No slam dunk elite prospects, but at both CB and S the top 4 guys or so are probably ranked all over the place by various teams depending on what they're looking for.  I bet there's hardly any consensus in the way those guys are ranked.
