Some notes from my source involving the NFL draft

Quarterback at 16? Highly unlikely.

But yeah, if it did? RIP board servers.

I think only one we’d consider is Murray and it’s obvious he’s going first overall so nothing to worry about.

The servers go full meltdown after an opposing teams first down. I don't even want to imagine how bad it'd be if a qb gets drafted in first...

Don't necessarily think we will, but do think we should.

Clearly we need a legitimate insurance policy for Cam.  At this point he is closer to the end of his career than the beginning and there are no guarantees his shoulder will ever be 100% again.

The shoulder has been operated on twice, and is clearly arthritic (as evidenced by the removal of bone spurs).  The only way to avoid further degeneration in an arthritic joint is to eliminate whatever repetitive motion it is that caused the problems in the first place -- clearly this is not an option for Cam.  As such, we need insurance.

Personally I think D. Jones will develop into an outstanding NFL QB and if it turns out we don't need him he could be a valuable chip in a trade scenario.

Apparently Verge's NFL scout friend agrees.

Can you point out where Verge's NFL scout friend agreed? I didn't see him make any statement to that end. I can see where you said the Panthers should take him, but nothing else.

If we take Daniel Jones at #16, I quit. The dude doesn't have an arm, he struggles with his accuracy, and his running ability at the college level won't translate to the NFL (he's a 4.8 guy). He's an NFL backup.

You are incorrect about pretty much all of that lol

He has one of the strongest arms in the draft and is incredibly accurate.

But no, we won't take a QB at 16, and Daniel Jones won't make it to 16 anyway.

We both have Daniel Jones as the second QB in the draft behind Kyler Murray.

No, I'm really not. I'm a fan of an ACC team and watch a ton of ACC football. Someone will fall in love with thw intangibles but no, absolutely not. The physical talent is marginal.

I looked at it again and just prior to the other statement Verge said:

"-Expectations are three QBs within the top 12 picks"

That would seem to support my initial interpretation of the of the previous quote.

Your statement implied the Panthers were looking at Jones for QB at 16. That's the statement I disagree with. It's not happening, nor should it.

He hit me up after Ed Oliver's pro day with a "wtf" and said there is a legitimate case for him going ahead of Q.Williams.

Draft twitter, is losing it after his workout.  If draft were this coming week, top five.

QB is the position that is always over-drafted and has surprising scenarios.

EJ Manuel has a shocking 1st, Lamar Jackson/Tim Teblows cannot throw a decent forward pass both late 1sts, Paxton Lynch is out of the league after being a 2016 1st. Johnny Failball bust of a first, hell I believe Bortels was 3rd overall.....

Daniel used to say "If you put a grade on a QB, you have to draft him a round early cause teams always reach for QBs."

I had 3 as the number of QBs drafted before 16, could be 5 or just 1... cause teams go insane when it comes to QBs.
