All of these light in the pants guys are coming in significantly heavier than their listed playing weight...

 

 

 

 

because they're tanking up for the weigh in.  The average human stomach can hold up to about a gallon. These guys are a lot bigger than average. They can probably hold a gallon and a half. That's over 12 pounds of water.

Figure they've been busting ass in the weight room since the season ended and add a few pounds of lean mass and probably a few pounds of fat from eating to bulk and the rest is water.

Again i dont think thats all water weight,

Yes some, but these guy are normally up at 6 doing meeting, and I think do the Bench today.  Their not just walking to the scales then going home.  Id say 5 pounds probably water weight.  But these guys arent carrying 15-20 pounds water weight today

They should put in a rule no restroom or water allowed for two hours after weigh in. I've been a fight fan for years. It's ridiculously easy to massively skew your body weight for a weigh in.
