Mark Hollis of Talk Talk

Passed away this week. Don’t expect many people to know of this guy or band but he created some truly original, beautiful music. He chose his family over the life of a touring musician. Retired for over 20 years. If you haven’t heard of his music check out his solo album as well as talk talk’s laughing stock and spirit of eden. These aren’t easy listens. Very complex, mood setting albums. But timeless music I will be listening to for the rest of my life.

I listen to his solo (Mark Hollis) record with headphones occasionally, cocktail in hand. It's always had a calming effect, much like Bryan Ferry.
