Been noticing a trend lately...

The media is slowly moving big soccer games to premium channels so people would have to pay extra on top what they already pay. CBS Gold, ESPN Plus and etc.  They show game like Leicester and Crystal palace prime time on FOX but United vs. Liverpool on CBS Sport?  The last 3 Arsenal games were not even shown on TV.  Uverse broke contract with BEIN sport which is mostly soccer including all French League 1 games.

I’m actually dumping Uverse because they went from best soccer provider to one of the worst.

Any idea why is this movement happening?  Not sure if related to US sports ratings and revenues going down and interest in EPL here in US is sky rocketing.

I think it's honestly more sport related than just soccer related. I'd say cord cutters and sports fans overlap.

UFC is now for the most part fully on ESPN+, some NHL games are now on ESPN+, Mid-Major college basketball games and baseball games are on ESPN+.

I feel like these companies are banking on sports fans being savvy enough to cancel generic cable and pay for the CBS sports package, Fox sports package, or ESPN+ since in reality all they watch on tv is sports.
