Funchess will not be retained.  Treadwell could end up being cut next year.   Offer him a 2020 7th or 6th.  He's a body.  Maybe a change of scenery is good for him and could be a one mans trash another mans treasure

 

This would make a lot of sense IMO. We wouldn't be looking to make him a star. Moore and Samuel look to be our future as far as WRs to be fed. But, we could use depth at outside WR and some competition for Wright wouldn't be the worst thing. I like Wright, but he's one of those okay #3, good #4 type guys.

If star didnt fall, Panthers would have picked Rhodes. Reports were they had him rated directly after star. Love to add Griffen too, D needs some crazy DE........

 

edit add- I believe Barr would be a beast at OLB in 3-4, be a game changer.

Spot on.  He’d be a very low risk addition with potential high reward.  Could even throw in a stipulation that if he doesn’t make the final roster we get the pick back.

Treadwell is still on a 1st rounder contract, I believe he is getting around 2 million and doesn't play ST. Anytime a WR is 4-6 on depth, he better play some role on ST. offer up Veron, bust for bust.

not doubting you but is this from memory or do you have a source. I too vaguely remember us having Rhodes highly ranked but I can't remember where I read that 

This kind of stuff just really interests me.
