Most likely someone in the last year of their contract - that's normally how it works. However, my guess is going to be Samuel. I really think he will have a big year.

It kind of is for Samuel.  After year 3 they can negotiate a new deal and theres not a 5th year option for him as a 2nd round draft pick.

Year 3 is make or break for these young guys.

My one worry about Jackson is that I feel like he's always going to be a "feast or famine" sort of player, i.e. a guy who's responsible for big plays for both us and our opponents.

Mind you, that's been true of other great DBs. Everson Walls was a really good cover corner, but he gambled a lot. It's also kind of unfair that the thing people remember him the most for is being part of Dwight Clark's highlight reel.

Moore, Samuel, Jackson are all obvious choices, id like to see someone on the d-line make a splash, make it to a pro bowl.

I might be the only one who says this, but watch out for Jermaine Carter. With TD gone and Mayo a free agent I think Carter could step in and outplay Shaq.

Defense:  Want Gaulden or Elder. More likely to be Donte Jackson elevating higher. 

 

Offense:  Want the TBD person at LT or Ian Thomas.  Most likely to be DJ Moore.

I would consider moving him to nickel if we were to get a Greedy or someone like that

Curtis Samuel, guy is going to be a beast next year. If Cam's arm is healthy I suspect a 1200 yard season from Samuel.
