Well it's getting interesting now.

Nino is del fuego (yes I know he's Swiss),  Canes are scoring points and it's truly a storm watch. Needless to say, I haven't been to game in several years- so we are driving from Greensboro for the Dallas game.

Any suggestions for pregame or parking?

All I can figure out is the backyard bistro is walking distance to PNC, so we might start there.

So I believe Backyard Bistro now charges $10 to park during PNC Events. If you are looking to park for free you can park at Apex Systems or Flagstar bank, both at the instersection of Westchester and Blue Ridge. It takes maybe 15 minutes to walk to the arena and you’ll get out of your car and head east, walk by the NCSU outdoor football fields and indoor practice facility, and then the arena will be in view.

It’s a little bit of a walk but it saves $10 to $20 on parking which means more money for Beer, PDQ, and Dippin Dots.

Have Fun, Go Canes!

Couldn’t have been a better game! Glad you got to go and we’re in the playoffs baby!

Man, it was a blast. Things have changed since the last game I attended, all for the good.

On the game: A quick start was needed and secured, the Canes looked fast and took quality shots. The second period was the opposite, I suspect it was the Canes of old, couldn't piece three passes together and struggled to clear their zone. Dallas looked bigger on most lines and obviously are built for defense.

I hope we can still turn it on in the third period the rest of the season like last night, it seemed to me that those grinding practices that Coach Rod likes was paying off- we just kept grinding and Dallas looked tired.

Mrazek is a big guy (first I've seen him play) at 6'2" was on a tear, how he flops around and get into position quickly is a mystery. The Defense did a good job clearing the crease and preventing crossing routes in the center. At one point, we had three shots on goal in the second, I think the final SOG was like 33  to 20 but at point in the second it was 22-12 Dallas. Nice shut out from the big guy and our D.

Nino is another big body that was hard for Dallas to move, a needed addition, and Aho is so smooth. Wallmark's line did well but there's no doubt our first line is something special. And lastly, most of shots on goal were on point, economical but sharp.

Like others on this board have said, the Hurricanes need to shore up the remaining lines to make a deep run into the playoffs.

Take Warning...there's a Storm Surge.

I was at the game too.  I will excuse everything we did considering we went 2-0 on a back to back home game situation.  We got a couple good bounces early and sat on them.  After the amazing effort to crush Edmonton on Friday I was just fine with that.  This team is for real.  They do rely really hard on full on effort and a few high talent scorers and the goaltending is on a tear...with that said I agree that if they could shore up a line or two with some top end talent, they would be a force.
