I was so glad that stupid decision blew up in Rivera's face.

So glad that we got destroyed that game just so Rivera could look bad! Hmm even though ultimately nothing came of it....I mean, he’s still our head coach years later.

^When you hate Rivera more than you actually love the Panthers...you get comments like these where you admit to actively rooting for the team to fail, to spite one person.

Does it matter if Cam is ready? Ron's going to throw him out there anyways...'he wants to play blah blah blah'. Remember William's  being rushed back last year, howed that go? Rushing Cam back to start the first game of the year after a ridiculously late surgery, how did that go? Playoffs baby. This dude is a joke and at least I get to RIP up his BS all year. Bring it on Mo-Ron. Keep interviewing for your next job

Williams might actually have been OK if the Cowboys lineman hadn't (possibly intentionally... video looked sketchy to me) rolled up on his bad knee. I don't disagree with your point though that it was questionable that he was even out there at all.

Where in my post did I admit to actively rooting for the team to fail? Rivera's decision to bench Cam blew up in his face as soon as DA threw a pick on the first play.

Players target injuries, it's not a new thing however you feel about it. The injury report is pretty much a target list that teams get penalized for lying about. If a team isn't comfortable with the risk, they can always make them inactive. It better than losing a player for a year but it's not my job and image on the line.

Come on man, you knew what the poster was saying and why it was being said

panther55 already said it, but Cam said he was fine, medical staff said fine...general soreness blah, blah, blah.  I think the hit against Pittsburgh was the hit that ultimately did Cam in for the year though.  At the time we were 6-2 or 6-3...still in the hunt for the playoffs.  So if Cam insists he's just sore, and the doc's can't find anything wrong, what coach is going to put Heinicke or Allen in at that point?  And as we saw Cam at 10% is better than both of those guys.  Once we were totally eliminated from playoff consideration, that's the point he should've been taken out.  I think that may have been by the next to last game.

In any case, players play through injuries ALL THE TIME.  And technically according to everybody including Cam he wasn't injured, just sore.

So because we were afraid of losing momentum on the playoff run, we lost our playoff run because it was done in a way the HC likes and understands? Solid sales pitch, heavy sarcasm. Maybe sit him for a game, one game, and see if going week to week would allow the rest to help Cam to heal enough instead of a seven game slide where the main player to bail out our hapless HC is past effective and continues to get worse? One is a blind philosophy and the other is strategy, something Ron is oblivious about.

And yes cam is better than the backups but the backups were pretty serviceable outside of lacking freakish durability required to play under this team who has gotten incredibly lazy after relying on Cam the 'how in the hell is he still alive' Newton.

EDIT: And by the by, which of the last 8 games did we win? The one our BA QB didnt play in.

You’re right...I do know what the poster was saying and why she said it. You know how I know? Cause her posts on these boards fall under two categories: praising/defending Cam, and pissing on Rivera. That’s literally it...she has no thoughts or contributions regarding any other matters. If you have any doubts at all of the intent of her post or that she’s a Cam fan and not a Panthers fan, then you probably haven’t read any of her posts before.  Let me walk you through her elaborate thought process here:

”How dare Rivera bench Cam for not wearing a tie!!”

*Watches Tolbert volley the ball into the hands of the other team on the first play of the game*

”Ha!!! Take that Rivera, you idiot! Bet you regret benching Cam now...that’ll teach you”

How else do you interpret her admitting she was glad we threw an interception on the first play of the game so Rivera would look stupid, if not as her rooting for failure? An interception on the first play of the game in our own red zone to set them up with first and goal is about as big of a failure as you can get ...other than if they returned it for 6. What kind of Panthers fan would cheer that?

You're clearly delusional. Get a life.
