Anyone else see parallels between this Canes team and the 2015 Panthers? The storm surge and the way these guys have so much fun together reminds me so much of that year. Let's keep it rolling boys

I see more parallels between this team and the 06 Canes when we won the damn thing.

Just to back up that thought...

For one thing, the Hurricanes have a points percentage of .600 this season which, if it holds up, would be second only to the Stanley Cup-winning 2005-06 squad (which posted a .683) in franchise history. The buzz is back in the building

We just took a a potential Stanley Cup winning team to OT in their own building, not a bad point other than the fact of how it ended.

A point keeps us where we are.

Ideally if we go 9-7 over these last 16 games we will make the playoffs.

A point is better than none but we should've won that game. Another sloppy effort in a game that we for the most part should've controlled. Bruins are overrated. First line dominated 5-5. If we don't figure out the power play (i.e. get Faulk off PP1) we won't go anywhere. We win that game easily if our PP is even just decent. Today it was a liability. And Ferland is the man and one tough SoB but man he can't stay healthy. Starting to think we shouldn't even consider signing him and should just use him as a rental. I was at the game and it was a blast but despite the point against a top team on the road, I think this team can and should be much better.

Looked like some Canes fans in the crowd?
