i've only had the chance to watch the first 15 or so minutes today and my whole perspective was forced to alter. went from "gonna support my buddy and watch his movie" to "oh ok this is a movie movie i would be watching anyway"

i really appreciate the kind words. hopefully you enjoy the rest of the movie!

one final plea to anyone who enjoyed the movie to take a second and review it on the amazon page and the IMDb if you can spare a few seconds of time. even critical reviews are welcome! the whole effort has been overrun by illegitimate troll accounts vote-stuffing the IMDb account with 1-star ratings. case in point, our own little huddle adolf hitler admirer CCS/professor chaos popped in to drag it through the mud purely out of spite :eyeroll:

all in all though it's been a resounding success. the exposure we've gotten is above and beyond anything i'd expected. it is incredibly exciting and deeply humbling.

clicking on the profiles of the bad imdb reviewers is a fascinating window into a certain type of person. the one horst dude has like a dozen reviews calling positive reviews on a variety of movies fake. most of them have been imdb members for 15+ years and almost ALL of their reviews are 1 star.

no doubt. the film has garnered three published critical reviews since its release, all three of which have ranked it between a 6 and 7, a very fair assessment and frankly sky-high for an independent film. the 1s are incredibly transparent. lifeless little bastards

Saw this article this morning: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/chadwick-boseman-star-spike-lees-next-movie-netflix-1186145. Looks like you're ahead of the curve, Phil. More movies like this are good for everyone. Having your film pop up in the suggestions for a Spike Lee film could be huge.

God damn. Another close call Philly ;)

Ive watched it twice now.

Solid film dude.  Well done on all fronts.

I could nit pick on some of the technical issues but that would take away from my appreciation of the heart of the film.  Your message in regards to racial hierarchies and the implicit imbalance of power along side of a story of fundamental right and wrong was a well told analog for the problems the country faced then and now.

Congrats on all fronts and huzzah for achieving at such an incredible level.

man that is high praise. i really appreciate it.

my next film will have seven times the budget of point man, so i look forward to being able to eliminate the technical issues and smaller scales that come with independent film.

thanks again to everyone who took the time to watch it! @arbnranger you probably recognized a few names in the credits
