Should the Pats be favored to win again in 2019?

1. Gronk still may retire

2. Pretty much their whole DL are Free agents.  Danny Shelton, Malcom Brown, Trey Flowers.  Lasg nights superbowl was one by a dominating defensive performance.  And that DL controlled the game

3. Every WR other than the superbowl MVP are FAs

4. Their starting LT is a FA

They still have Bellichick and Brady.  But still a Lot of holes to fill.  Need to see what they do there before crowning them

Everyone every year counts them out and says it’s over,..

it’s not— that’s denial hate and arrogance.

they will be back— the teams that repeat the past mistakes are doomed to relive them— and so are the fans.

you can hate em,.. but you have to respect them if you want them to sit out the postseason next year.

They aren't in cap hell and they are in draft pick heaven.

They actually have 2 mil less than us in cap space.

And they do have

1 first round pick, thats the last one of the round, pretty much a 2nd

And 2 2nds, one being the last one pretty much a 3rd

No. Age is catching Brady. He can no longer effectively throw down the field. There's only so much you can do to scheme around that. They won tonight despite this. Belichick just took McVay and Goff to school. Brady and the Pats will likely see a ton of press single high coverage next year because they honestly don't have a way to threaten it.

Uhh...Brady didn’t really have to do anything last night.  That was one of the best defensive performances I have even seen in a SB.  If they keep that up, they don’t need Brady to do much.

until brady and belichick retire, i'm not betting against them winning it all. they may not have the best records during the season, but you put them in the playoff dance and they will outsmart and out perform and outcoach everyone. i hate it. I hate them but i understand they do what no one else can do, and that is do whatever it takes to win.

They don't have anyone to throw downfield to. Gronk is completely washed up and can't get separation anymore. Their WRs sans EDELMAN are Chris Hogan, Philip Dorsett, and Cordarrelle Patterson. None of those guys can get open. They aren't even no.2 caliber. Hogan and Dorsett are spare parts while Patterson is a kick return specialist. It's not like Brady was much more than a game manager in their first three SB wins anyway.
