One of the worst SB's in memory

As much as I hated seeing Tom Brady and Robert Kraft be rewarded for being company men yet again, the game was enjoyable imo.

Then again, i'm a huge combat sports fan and can watch two bjj specialists work for position for the entire fight while never not being entertained

It’s all perspective.

Leading up to the game I worked everyday for the past couple weeks and didn’t see not one minute of Super Bowl hype until I turned it on right before kick off.

I didn’t have any expectations. I thought it was a great game but I was pulling for the Patriots. Halftime show was pretty dam good too I thought.

I had some Proper 12 and Tito’s in my system.

Saw the start of it at dinner. Went home and watched the Hurricanes game with my son. Driving in this AM I heard it ended 13-3, but they didn't mention who won. Got to work and heard the Pats won. Probably will skip through the recording tonight to see the ads. Sounds like the hockey game was a good call.

I got some laundry done and should have watched the hockey game. (And the Blackhawks are 2-0 since the break.... maybe they'll get out of the cellar in the 2nd half of the season.)

Any hockey game last night would have been better than that sh!t.

And for the rest of you: stop equating a lack of scoring to good defense- they aren't the same.

I didn't think this one was bad.  The defenses played well, both generating good pass rushes.  At times, Brady looked frazzled at times, Goff was frazzled much of the game.  But I like defensive games.

I'm sure the competition committee will address this.  We'll probably see rules changes including the DB can no longer chuck the receiver within 5 yards, and in fact can not make contact with him until he has taken three steps after catching the ball, and the DL can not begin rushing the QB until the down judge fires a starting pistol, five full seconds after the snap.

I have every faith the NFL competition committee will remain the biggest threat to the sport.

I actually enjoyed the game on some level like you did. I applaud any team that can shut down their opponent in today's NFL which is heavily weighed in favor of the offense. Both defenses played well yesterday.

I didn't react positively to your post is because you're probably right about the competition committee doing something else to handcuff defenses even more in the off season.

Boring ass game ....imagine spending thousands to watch this crap fest. The halftime show was also one of the worst...fitting for this game.

NFL taking a real kick in the balls with this one....to bad....not.

I usually steer away from commenting on how exciting or boring a superbowl is.  All I want is a fair game.  If people clamor for only exciting games in superbowls, that opens the door to manipulation.  All I can ask for in a superbowl, and in the playoffs for that matter, is an honest result.  When it comes to this game, I believe we got that.

With that said, it was a boring game.  It is what it is.

To be fair, it was one of the better hockey games I've seen this year. And not just because there was plenty of scoring :)
