End the speculation- Dwayne Jarrett isn't the problem.

I'm not defending Jake.

Jarrett looking bad has little to do with Jake, though. If Jake were in top form, Jarret would have more catches, but not many. He would be scraping along with a catch or two a game, tops, because he's slow, runs lazy routes and doesn't really seem to give a crap. He's as slow as Moose is and he's in his early 20's.

He's a really skinny TE.

Bust-o-rama.

too many "IFs". give me a QB then we can talk. I could see if he was lacking production on the Patriots. Lacking production here could mean a number of things. and for me, it starts with the QB. even the team said they've seen improvement. Jake sucks, as does the passing game.

Like Colbert. And Carter. And Hackett. And Gardner. And so on. They sure turned things around and lit it up after leaving us.

Sometimes receivers are just bad, regardless of who is throwing the ball.

We don't know that because of who is passing the ball. Maybe another QB brings Jarret out.

R white was a bust until they got a QB.

Sidney Rice was a bust until they got a QB.

V jackson was a bust until they got Rivers.

Do you see the Pattern.

Who was Miles austin 3 weeks ago until Roy williams got hurt? A nobody now he is getting his chance and Bame!!! He looks great.

Maybe if we give sombody a chance they would step up. Maybe a better passer makes our WR better. I don't know but it's worth a shot.

Getting a new QB isn't going to make Jarret get separation, make him faster, make him run better routes, etc.

I mean, if Jarrett is good but being held back just by the QB then K Moore must be all world.

That might not be Jarret game. Their Wr who are big enough too use their body too sheild off defenders and make catches. Or maybe he catches over the defender not too many defenders are 6'5. Maybe you throw jump balls too him. Colston nor Burris were the get seperation type wr or burn pass CB type Wr they use their size too catch the ball over smaller DB's. Any way this whole seperation thing I have too ? you about.

How do you know? Do you have tape of Jarret running his route during a game? Or do you watch him every play because the only time I see Jarret is when jake finally throws too him. Plus it's not like Jake doesn't stare down his target or miss open wr. If the play doesn't go too jarret I don't see him so if you have some flim on him please share. Other then that your statment is lacking. When jake has looked too Jarret he has caught the ball. Just because Jake didn't throw to a wr doesn't mean he wasn't open. Jake throws it too Smith with 3 defenders around him. He gives no other wr that kind of treatment. Who's too say Jarret wasn't open on those plays. I rather see what he could do with a competent QB.

Jarrett is not bad nor a bust. This whole game he had his man beat, and in position and settled in on the zone. Delhomme threw it to him once. Delhomme has made this whole team look bad hes made Moose look like hes 40, Smith look like hes now in the top 20 rather then top 5 and Jarrett look like a bust, along with our tes. Let me ask you this... Would Sidney rice have 2 consecutive 100 yard games, let alone be activated on this team with Jake throwing to him over favre? NOPE.

I mean even a run heavy team like Pitt goes three wrs deep with Ward, Holmes and Wallace. Not to mention Miller playing amazing at TE, and roethlisberger throwing only about 25 28 times a game. Delhomme threw the ball 44 times! And still cant go 3 wrs deep, I dont care if its colbert, carter, and jarret as your number one out there if you throw the ball 44 times they should all have over or at 4-5 receptions.

I don't think Jarrett is secretly all pro or anything but he is being underutilized. We could certainly find ways to use him. Same goes for Barnidge and Mike Goodson.

We have so much talent, seems the biggest problem is how to use it and when. They dont really have a handle on that. Still not that impressed with the O line and the way they ar coached/playing...

what is so funny is that the guys who says he sucks never mention his stats or anything because that would debunk there argument. They always say he cant get seperation, he is slow, blah, blah, blah. look at larry fitzgerald and anquan boldin, they are both no faster than jarrett. they use there body to shield defenders from the ball and there athleticism. Why cant we you jarrett like that? he is not a burner, but could be dominant on dbs. Many people forget that he is a young player still. i really think he needs some encouragement. they dont use him all that much and even when he is on the field they dont throw to him.

hackett isn't really a good example, he was good before he came here.
