End the speculation- Dwayne Jarrett isn't the problem.

In the beginning I was sceptical. and i gave the benefit of the doubt several times, but nearing the halfway mark of the season, Everyone should realize that we have so much talen on this team that is being held back by 3 men (for the most part). John Fox, Jeff Davidson, and Jake Delhomme are screwing this team over. and I think Dwayne Jarrett has the ability to step up and play opposite Steve Smith. I keep seeing flashes, but that all. The play distribution and play-calling are off. and the play at QB just plain sucks. I can't see how anyone can keep defending these dirtbags.

He was wide open on the last pick Jake threw, had his man beat in one on one coverage by several steps FWIW. As a matter of fact that was a common theme for DJ today, he routinely beat his man and found holes in the zone to sit down in. Jake rarely looking his way was also a common theme unfortunately.

With Smith being doubled, and Muhsin on the other side, and two friggin' targets, you surely don't expect us to believe that Jarrett has had an opportunity to flourish. All of us have been watching Jarrett for the past season and a half wondering why he hasn't been involved in the flow of the offense, and I'm sorry, dude, the problem just can't be him. We all have seen the guy make key catches (even though they amount to a handful's worth during the season).

Anybody that is blaming the problem with Jarrett is misdirecting the true blame for his lack of production. And, we all have an inkling, as to what/who the real problem is. I am not saying that he is a superstar or even a WR2 in the making, all I am saying is that I really don't have a justifiable amount of work to make a reasonable judgment.

Jarrett is NOT the problem.

Lol, Dwayne Jarrett is awful. No heart, no passion, terrible route runner, fails to get separation, can't catch. Yeah, sounds like a break-out player in the making to me.

most of the offense is awful because Jake Delhomme isn't capable of being a starting QB in this league without throwing the ball to the other team. any other QB that isn't Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, or Tom Brady, would be pulled after playing like Delhomme is. he's one of the nicest people in the world, but hes playing like garbage. not 1 game w/o a pick? Not one!

He's averaging over 2 interceptions a game.

Delhomme being horrible doesn't preclude Jarrett from also being horrible.

Bust-o-rama.

how is he supposed to look good? Steve Smith will always look good because hes a top 5 reciever in this league. Dwayne Jarrett may never live up to his expectations coming out of college, but Jake at QB, you just can't tell.

It doesn't matter who the QB is, you can still evaluate a player's route running, work ethic, ability to get separation, run blocking, ect. Well at least I can, you guys seem to be having some problems.

And hate to break it to you but Smitty isn't a top 5 WR anymore.

But don't let me interrupt, back to your Jake bashing...

I'm not defending Jake.

Jarrett looking bad has little to do with Jake, though. If Jake were in top form, Jarret would have more catches, but not many. He would be scraping along with a catch or two a game, tops, because he's slow, runs lazy routes and doesn't really seem to give a crap. He's as slow as Moose is and he's in his early 20's.

He's a really skinny TE.

Bust-o-rama.

    • It may seem like our rookies have fairly low yards. But If you combine the yards for Coker,  Legette, and J.Sanders, you get 800 which is more than Neighbors or BTJ.  Also Coker is the only UDFA on this list the fact that he's on any kind of top list as UDFA makes him arguably our best move this off season for the price we paid to get him. Slam Dunk off-season by Dan Morgan. Especially if Brooks shows us something this season. We've already seen Trevin Wallace doing some good things. Getting anything out of Smith Wade or Crumedy would be a bonus. Rarely do 5th to 7th Rounders work out. In a sort of strange way that Michigan LB we drafted in the 7th got us a serviceable backup CB in Mike Jackson. So there's that too. Imagine if Morgan has just as good as of an off-season before the 2025 season for the defensive side of the ball.
    • I love Cam, and want the org to celebrate him, but they've told him why things are how they are (he isn't retired) and he says he just isn't going to and expects them not to care... I get he's never playing again, but just sign the papers to retire and call their bluff...
    • I'm happy those 2 are finding success elsewhere. Chinn never lived up to the hype after his rookie season and Luvu just wanted to go play in Dan Quinn's defense that suits him perfectly. I can't hate on that.
