panthersnation123 is not a rapist, don't get me wrong, and i'm sure abhors rape. but as men we have been conditioned to excuse unsavory behavior by literally arguing faultlessness on the grounds of stupidity, lack of intent, or childishness.  he can't help it, we say, and thereby encourage a lack of accountability for our fellow men.

gronk shouldn't have made the joke, even in that context, not because of easily-offended PC people, but because decent people have absolutely zero instinct to make that joke, even in that context. 

gilette was right, dudes need to hold each other accountable to be more decent dudes. the commentary in this thread is exhibit A as to why.

the thread title is "gronkowski is a moron" followed by commentary on gronkowski's sexually suggestive comment, followed by commentary on whether or not gronkowski was within or outside the boundaries of decency by making it.

"that" has been in the conversation the entire time. the post i quoted was over half the thread ago.

modern society demands we ask these questions if we're going to honestly talk about the issues, as you and others have done for seven pages and as gronkowski has sparked by his foolish actions. you are welcome to move to a hole in montana or something if you don't want to participate and attempt to make society better for everyone.

I have this weird thing where it always seems like the people I'm least likely to agree with politically are the ones with whom I most often concur on discussions in the football forum.
