He's a professional football player, which does not require Mensa membership (nor is it expected).

The NFL has been busy trying to be all things to all people, and it has not worked very well.  It never does.

This is a far cry from the guy who beats every woman he comes into contact with or is actively earning the title of sexual predator.  If people can't understand the difference or want to get their shorts in a bunch over things like this, it is their problem.

Believe me, I'm not part of the culture of the perpetually offended.

But with that said, I have friends and acquaintances who are intelligent and friends and acquaintances who are...not (and that's probably a lot of people).

That guy you know who's a total dimwit and always says things that tick people off, that's Gronk.

That guy he always winds up embarrassing, that's the NFL.

The NFL has a lot more to be embarrassed by than this.

All I do at this whole thing is shrug.  It's not worth any more of a response by me than that.  But, we have people whose very existence seems to be a constant quest to be offended.  They are even offended for others.....even when those people are not the least bit offended, themselves.  How am I supposed to take that seriously?

As for the NFL, if they are so embarrassed, suspend him.  And the odds of that happening are?

Wouldn’t the smart people know to ignore the dumb ones?
