They just didn't want to deal with the mess that his jersey would have looked like with a 100th anniversary NFL Patch, Captains Patch, Walter Payton Patch, and a 25th anniversary Panthers patch (i know we did a 20th recently, but i feel like Tepper being new, he'll want to do one).
