A bit more expensive but future proof/reliable brands and the first thing you can upgrade is the GPU once you have the money. But the 1050 Ti is an excellent and popular budget GPU so you'd be able to find lots of info on it for overclocking and getting the best performance.

This. I can work with this.

And now everything Dex has said really makes sense. You're not going to be able to do that stuff on a $700 PC.

Well the talk wasn't about a $700 PC it was finding a "good" GPU only for under $700.     I'd definitely say spend at least $1200 or say nowadays when building a gaming PC (doesn't include monitors or peripherals) but it's crazy what people are getting out of sub 700 rigs nowadays.

You can stream and game on one PC, you just need a really good PC, Summit1g does it for instance and other streamers.

Again relativity. A $700 GPU is "good" for me. But for what I do I would need two of those. My work laptop has a $1300 GPU and it's just okay.

Right video editing is a whole other ball game for sure but maybe lead with that :) .     This dude just wants to play CS:GO and I'd be sad if he seen that comment and got discouraged because he thinks the video card he NEEDS to get a good one costs his entire budget haha.

He's still going to need a high end "good" :shades: GPU if he wants to stream and play today's AAA games in HD/UHD.

Also, I highly recommend getting some LED lighting for around your monitor. Just attached this earlier this month and I love it. Before and after.

Since my tower is under my desk, I didn't really try to make it fancy with LED lighting. In fact, this is the only picture I have of inside the case and it was right as I was booting it up for the first time.

Since I don't get to nerd out that often. I have a female roommate so this is the man corner.

How do you like the ultrawide monitor? I'm scared it's going to be to much...I already don't look around enough on my screen that I have now. Everyone enjoys them though.

OP, you should post your parts list on https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/ and https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales. You'll have to filter out what some people say, but you'll get some good advice and someone will find good deals for you.

I was unsure about the ultra wide but I LOVE IT. Especially for video editing. But I've been playing Skyrim in 1440p Ultra wide and it's sex. The other is a 27" 4K.

  • 2 weeks later...

Must of missed this thread, dunno how. Like DeX has said if you want to stream and play AAA titles at decent settings your going to power. With that budget for the build your going to need to be extra picky on what parts you pick/wait on sales for some parts...ext.

Also are you looking for full tower/mid tower...ext

lots of questions to be answered.

As for dex's build I'd switch out the 1050TI for a rx 580, comparable price but pretty good performance bump and extra 4gb of vram. you can get them for 200-220.
