6"6" 245 lbs? That's not Peppers replacement but Addison's. Not trying to hate on the guy, but show me a successful sub 250 lbs strong side 4-3 DE and I'll start looking at this guy as a possibility to replace Peppers. I would think 270 lbs for the strong side would be a minimum playing weight. Again, not saying he is not a good player, just not a NFL strong side DE. Anyone have any facts to disprove this?

It's not uncommon for DEs to enter the league under weight. NFL strength and conditioning coaches are good at getting guys to the right weight

Not sure if youve kept up eith Seniorbowl week

Kid came in at 6'6 252 (which is the exact same size as Daniel Hunter for the vikings and only 7 pounds lighter than Derek Barnett), and didnt appear to lose speed.   

He's every bit of 6'6.  I just met him down here and im a little over 6'2.  He towered over me with Arms for days

 

Oh and he's powerful

This draft is extremely deep at DE

Only way he jumps in the top is if he jumps top IMO is if ye jumps one of Ferrell, Gary, Allen, or Bosa.

You not going to have 5 edge rusher go in the top with

2-4 DTs as highly thought of

at least 1 OT in Jonah Williams, at least 2 QBs.  Miami, Denver, Jax, and possibly are QB shopping ahead of us.  And Gettleman feeling the Heat to draft a QB

At least 1 CB, 1LB, 1 WR, the list goes on

yeah, it seems like these "mock drafts" always underestimate teams trading up to draft qb's.  He may be around, he may not.

I’m all for this pick. Can be an edge on the 3-4 or DE for a 4-3 with the right amount of weight added. He has a high motor which is one of the most important things to look for and success against top talent.

Yeh,.. supply and demand,..

the shortage of positions will go first and the overstock will drop.

its just what happens.

our team without hurneys BPA thing could end up taking another receiver, corner, or something none of us saw just for the same reasons.

I really hope some of these QBs play really well at the senior bowl or show out at the combine.  I think 2 go before us but would be nice if 3 did but I do agree there is a good chance an quality edge is there at 16.
