Anyone know how Thon Maker can play the 4?

Just throwing stuff at the wall.

But trade Monk and Batum for Drummond and Bullock

Then Frank for Maker

We still hold onto our 1st rounder

PG: Kemba, Parker

SG: Lamb, Bacon

SF: Bridges, Bullock

PF: Maker, Marvin

C: Drummond, Zeller

Now this is starting to look like a solid NBA roster. I'd be down 100% but no way we get anywhere close to this.

Hornets are apparently showing interest in Jrue Holiday.

Holiday has a pretty big contract but he is productive. It would be interesting to see if they would do Batum, Frank, and a first round pick (or Monk) for Jrue Holiday and Darius Miller. Miller and Frank are both expiring contracts but the Hornets would probably want a G/F back in the deal who can shoot the three. Holiday's deal is one year longer than Batum's and because Holiday is more productive than Batum the Hornets throw in a first round pick or Monk.

Hornets role with:

G: Jrue Holiday, Tony Parker, Devonte' Graham

G: Kemba Walker, Darius Miller, Dwayne Bacon

F: Jeremy Lamb, Miles Bridges

F: Marvin Williams, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

C: Cody Zeller, Bismack Biyombo, Willy Hernangomez

Two Way: Joe Chealey, J.P. Macura

This could also benefit the Pelicans assuming they trade Anthony Davis for a package of Lonzo, Ingram, KCP, and two first round picks.

They could expedite their rebuild and end up with five first round picks (or four and Monk) in the next two years.

After these past three games from Monk I'm finding it really difficult to include him in a trade.

Obviously getting rid of Batum's or Biyombo's contract would be huge but adding Monk or Miles to one of them would be foolish. I'm fine with trading away our first round pick because there are only around two or three guys that I like with the 17th pick but our young guys should be off limits.

I don't know if the Grizzlies would do this but Lamb, Frank, Biyombo, a first rounder, and a second rounder for Gasol and Temple. With the Grizzlies looking to start a rebuild they could save $7M in the trade and pick up a couple of draft picks.

The Hornets then role with:

PG: Kemba Walker, Tony Parker, Devonte' Graham

SG: Malik Monk, Garrett Temple, Dwayne Bacon

SF: Nic Batum, Miles Bridges

PF: Marvin Williams, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

C: Marc Gasol, Cody Zeller, Willy Hernangomez

Two-Way: Joe Chealey, J.P. Macura

This trade at the very least should net us the seventh seed and possibly the sixth seed.

Kemba, Monk, and Bridges are off the Table. I would say Devontae as well.

I really want Gasol because he is the ideal center for this team and would allow Cody to come off the bench and hopefully stay healthy.

Agree...no way I trade Monk he is looking much better lately.

Holiday plays sg for the Pelicans, why his scoring average is up this season. Think Hornets would do the same thing as well. Also either or wouldn't be enough, 17 pick isn't that valuable so Monk would have to be included.

What?  That is silly.  Plenty of other ways to make that happen.

1. Take back a contract just as bad

2. Trade multiple first round picks

3. Monk/bridges plus first

the last two are the only ways to get back anything decent. Hornets really only have three trade pieces worth a damn not named Kemba.

Monk, Bridges and Lamb

    • It didn’t feel like we’re the Bills bc we’re not a consistent conference contender yet we’re a rebuilding team. But with the game on the line we played just like the Bills went straight down the field and scored a tuddy then converted a 2pt conversion I have to give credit where credit is due. And the chiefs played us like we were the Bills in an AFC championship game, drive down the field and kicked a walk off FG to win at the end very similar to me. Are saying our defense stunk yesterday? Vs an elite offense team with elite coaching an elite QB man idk what you want them to do. KC does these things to the best defenses in the league consistently to win AFC chips and Super Bowls let’s not devalue who they are. I saw us play KC to the wire and barely lose defense did its thing as much as it could. Bingo!!! We’re also forgetting how injured we’ve been defensively this year, yes we need to build up the D but adding a few pieces and D Browns successful rehab should make us a very strong unit again. Couple that with the offense we saw yesterday and we’re winning our division.
    • Canales deserves a lot of credit. I'm very pleased. He's definitely making strides with Bryce. I also think some of his lack of commitment to Bryce as the starter is to motivate Bryce. I think he liked what he saw when Bryce was benched.  Even the Defense looks tremendously better with just a couple more pieces getting healthy. Wonnum has made our pass rush viable again.  I would love to see this team with one more good player across the defensive front, DT or an edge rusher.
    • I didn’t see any limitations yesterday
