I'm sick of hearing this. We need a competent back up and we should have had one last year. I love Cam, but this team is bigger than him.

I am sure we are looking at all the options including Cam sitting a year. We must be developing a backup plan.  What we do in free agency and the draft at the quarterback position will tell us how the team feels about Cam's ability to play this year or next.

It’s a little disconcerting that Panthers divulged none of the details on Cam Newton’s scope. Two years ago they laid out many of the specifics of his rotator cuff repair.
