It’s a little disconcerting that Panthers divulged none of the details on Cam Newton’s scope. Two years ago they laid out many of the specifics of his rotator cuff repair.

Couple of things in response to  earlier comments.

I know we like to joke around about the team and the doctors/staff or whatever but even at the lower level(minor leagus) they have the best in the area. My two hip scopes were done by the team physician of The Charleston Stingrays and that group also does the Riverdogs and Charleston battery. It's not like they are posted up in the Panthers stadium waiting to do surgeries for a player. They have their normal facility/office.

poo you can hardly even see the incisions for the scopes anymore and they record the procedure and give you pictures of it.

Granted, anybody with working eyes could see Newton had major issues.

Pessimist in me: Too carefully worded. No reason for them to be coy if an injury was found and fixed. Details would have explained Cam's decline at the end of the year. 

Optimist in me: Nature of the injury does seem like bad inflammation/scar tissue. All it needed was some cleanup. Super Bowl bound.

Why give any more info than you have to... regardless of how good or bad it may be?  It does nothing for the team.
