I'm a part time doctor on the internet like most of you and by reading the comments I have diagnosed Cam with a full recovery minus a few glitches. Mission accomplished!

Agreed, 

They probably waited until now to do the surgery if there was swelling.   I am no a doctor but I would imagine there may have been some swelling and other issues that delayed it surgery.  

I am very happy it was arthroscopic and not under a knife.  The recovery time should be much less than under the knife.

Pat Connor is an excellent surgeon.  Hes been around a long time here.  He operated on my elbow in like 1998 at the Miller Orthopedic Clinic.  

BTW, just because Cam had his shoulder scoped doesnt mean its not major surgery and that the recovery wont be tough for him.  His first operation was a scope as well.  They use the scope to repair labrum tears now.  They only lay you all the way open if its really bad these days.

I'm not an expert but I believe 'surgery' means actually doing something. If they're just looking around I think it's just an examination.

I’ve had my knees scoped 4 times for miniscus tears. Procedures were essentially the same but recovery varied. 

Could have been a similar clean up procedure for Cam or maybe they just poked around some. Just speculative but it is still surgery. Can’t imagine what the recovery would be.

FWIW, Dr. Connor, Cam's surgeon, performed knee surgery on both of my wife's knees (she is a martial arts fanatic) with great results. He is a gifted surgeon, let's hope for the best.
