New Orleans fans are so upset because they are done

Having a home run draft like New Orleans did in 2017 will help them turn around quickly. Don't hope to win because your foe stumbles, be faster/smarter/better.

They only have one second round pick and a few 5-7 picks. They need a miracle to get anything in the draft.

With Cam's status unclear our future is still murky but it isn't bad or good at this point until we know more. If Cam has to sit and he is considered our future, it will be an easy thing to restructure his 2019 cap hit and have potentially 40 million going into free agency. Our drafting last year was very good. If we follow up with another great draft we should be right in the thick of things. I know Cam's status is a big concern but we aren't exactly in desperation mode.

I agree.  The draft from 2018 was excellent--especially if Gaulden, Carter, and Smith step up.  I have not given up on Haynes either---sorta reminds me of Addison.who was 6-3 245 at Troy,  He needs to gain 15 lbs and be given time to grow.

Lotta people are down on Gaulden--and I see why.  However, he was drafted as a project.

We are not any better off really. The only difference is our season ended weeks ago, and our salary cap eating QB is injured and may not even be healthy to play in 2019. Laugh all you want, but the laughter is really just a mask to hide that our team is in far more serious trouble!

Okay thanks Dr Phil

We just need another solid draft. If we somehow hit a homerun this year that will be three really good drafts in a row. We were very close to home runs the last two years. Instead of getting cute in the 3rd/4th with Hall, Gaulden and Haynes we missed on some great college players that turned into solid pros at positions of need (T, DE, S).

This seems like a talented draft (unlike 2016 - we trash Butler, but look at the first round after the top 9, HFS is it awful), so we’ve got 5 picks in the top 115. We should be able to get 3 starters and if we make 5 solid picks, we might be a huge turn around. Assuming Cam’s still alive

You poo me for saying this, while you say the exact same thing! Brees is healthy. Cam is not. Brees will play next year. We dont know that Cam will at this point. Saints know 100% Brees can play so long as they pay him. We dont know now if Cam can play regardless of what he is paid.

But you and so many others wanna poo because you don't like the reality, but THAT my fellow random poster is the reality like it or not.  I wont even get started on the idea of HOPING we draft well and get 3 starters...LOL

The reality is that we don't need Superman to run this offense. We all want Cam back 100% healthy and ready to go but Allen showed this offense is quarterback friendly and with more play makers on offense and emphasis on building the defense we should be in the playoffs. Brees had a fantastic year but he is showing cracks and slowing down. He scored a total of 12 points against us in our first meeting with a suspect defense. Brees may be healthy but he is approaching 40 and father times waits for no man. You appear to be a closet Saints fan so be it, but the idea that New Orleans and their win it all now philosophy is better than Tepper's philosophy to play for the long game is not true or likely to.pay off down the road.  Let's remember that before the last 2 years, the Saints had 3 losing seasons in a row. Their winning streak seems more of an exception than the rule and it is coming to an end.

You are on the thin line of laying p[ersonal attacks because you disagree with my post. Careful now...MFCEO has a strict policy and a pinned thread.

We dont even know if our QB can play next season due to shoulder injury. If that isnt enough to tell you that we may have some serious issues, im not sure what you need to hear otherwise. NO QB is healthy. Ours is not. Its not a question for argument~
