If your NFL QUARTERBACK on your NFL TEAM can't throw a basic deep in route, or for that matter make any throws down the field, you have no chance to win anything significant in the first place . We can't beat every team in the league by running the ball 50 times per game. I dont think it's too much to ask for Delhomme to hit an open receiver over the middle every now and then.

I don't know what game you were watching AK. They were scared to death to let Jake throw the ball deep. The vast majority of his pass attempts were under 10 yards to tight ends and running backs. It was almost like a WCO-style of playcalling tonight. A lot of Jake's passes were glorified running plays by their design.

If we could have run it today I would have been happy. Jake is best in the 2 minute drill I still dont see why we dont run that all the time with him. If he has time to think he usually messes up. Need to get that raw instinct and not to think.

This is not on Davidson the stats are misleading..jake threw very short passes.so he had to pass more.We ran at good times.The play calling was fine.the EXECUTION sucked:smash:

Hell I am too, but the REAL REASON we lost this game is NOT JAKE DELHOMME.

Not that I am taking up for his retarded play, and inability to be who he once was, but this loss is not his fault.

Wow! Davidson nor John Fox made a pass, but you blame them. Did you see the game. All three interceptions were on very poorly thrown passes. The only fault I see on those two is the fact that they keep putting Jake in the lineup. JAKE is done. Next year will be even worse with a new coach, new staff and new QB. They weren't on the bench. Williams touched the ball 21 times today. Jake wasn't asked to win the game - in fact you could tell from the design of the plays that they were designed to be safe passes, in essence they were running plays disguised as passes to keep the defense off balance.

There was nothing wrong with the playcalling. Just because we ran 15 out of 16 plays against Tampa on last week's final drive doesn't mean that you can keep doing that every time out on the field. For one, the running backs would die and two, any team not named Tampa Bay would stop that poo pretty quickly.
