I'm biased but as a season ticket holder, I get to watch MSU play most of their games. This relates to the Panthers due to having numerous players in positions of need.

Jeffrey Simmons. He is the best DT in the draft. Period. He is listed in most top 10 boards and after the combine will leave no doubt. He is Kris Jenkins with a true work ethic and will be a Fletcher Cox/Chris Jones clone. Should be off the board in the first 12 picks.

Montez Sweat. He is dynamic at DE and is proving it in the Senior Bowl practices. As has been reported in several threads on the board, he is a little heavier than previously noted. He is moving into the top 20 selections and could be ours at 16.

Elgton Jenkins. Rated by most as the top C in the draft. Is showing that in bowl practice. He is probably a second round pick at this point.

Johnathan Abrams. SS and is a first rounder in McShay's draft. He is in the Mike Mitchell head hunter type and dynamic in run support. Can use some fine tuning in coverage but I see him as a second round pick.

Gerri Green. Hes a hybrid DE/OLB and is having a good showing in bowl practice. Probably a 3rd to 4th round guy.

Jamal Peter's CB. Has had an up and down career but is probably a 4th to 5th round selection.

Most of these are defensive guys but that is to be expected: MSU finished number 1 in the nation in 8 or 9 defensive categories. There is the possibility that one of these guys may get drafted by us. And as a midlevel SEC team, most folks outside the scouting departments are just now starting to pay attention. It just happens that alot of these guys are highly rated in our positions of need.

love when we have fans of different teams provide their insight on their teams prospects. thanks OP

I sure am glad Taylor Moton worked out for us, but this is why I'm overall opposed to drafting small school linemen. They miss more often than they hit. They look dominant when facing guys who aren't even high level D1 talents, but against grown ass NFL men they usually get ragdolled.

Their QB is interesting as well, Nick Fitzgerald.

I'm good on both of those, but i think that center takes priority

Fitzgerald is an enigma. He is a fantastic runner but very erratic as a passer. He suffered a catastrophic ankle injury a little over a year ago vs Ole Miss and was more tentative running this year. He is 6'5" and 230 and may go late to someone taking a flyer on him. He broke The Golden Calf of Bristol's SEC qb rushing record this year. If he wants a shot at playing in the NFL, he may have to switch to a hybrid TE/WR position.

I remember picking up somewhere that GMs and Scouts really love picking power conference OL with 3 years+ starting experience.  They tend to work out well, at least as serviceable players.

I agree with Moton.  I'm thrilled out of my mind that he's done as well as he has thus far.  So hopeful that we can add some effective beef in the draft.

It's a bad look for Howard on this snap but overall I've seen multiple outlets have reported that he's been very solid and winning almost all his reps including against Sweat.

When a guy has that much experience at the P5 level, you're going to be able to get a pretty good feel for him. There should be several games per year where he faced off against future NFL players. The difference in speed and strength from lower level college to NFL has to be shocking for a lot of these linemen coming from smaller programs. They're probably used to simply being able to maul opponents and have probably never had to really hone in on technique simply because of their physical talent. When they can no longer just maul people their technical deficiencies become a lot more prominent and some probably get mentally shell-shocked by it.
