Not doubting you were at the game.

But watching the film he looked solid

and scouts agreed.

They credited the QB more for the sack than Risner

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2019-nfl-draft-inside-the-battle-between-mississippi-states-montez-sweat-kansas-states-dalton-risner/

"Risner in one-on-one situations against Sweat. On two of those plays, the Kansas State quarterbacks drifted into Sweat's pressure, and one ended in a sack that wasn't Risner's fault.

Sweat clearly beat Risner on just one rep which led to a quarterback pressure.

For the run, Sweat had the colossal bull-rush win but was kept at bay by Risner on the three other plays."

Dont get me wrong, I'd love to get both, but we gave so many holes that I expect everyone we draft to make the team.

Also to add to Sweat

He is 6'6.  35 5/8 arms at the senior bowl

Marcus Davenport 6'6 33 5/8 arms

Bradley Chubb 6'4 34 arms

Taco Charlton 6'6 34 arms

Peppers 6'6 34 inch arms

Sweat has plenty of frame to easliy to add 10 plus more pounds

Will be a handful of prospects we should keep our eyes on

North Team:

Anthony Nelson (Iowa)- mid round DE, big solid athlete.  (I wonder if he is not already at his ceiling)

Eric McCoy- #3 Center prospect  (Probably underrated right now)

Garrett Bradbury- #2 Center prospect   (I do  not see him that high)

Michael Deiter, Beau Benzschawel-2 Wisconsin OGs who are round 2-3 guys

Dalton Risner- big athletic versatile, best OL in the class Imo (Many have him as a  C, but his ability to play T too makes him valuable)

Chris Lindstrom- #2 OG in the class  (If this guy is there in the third, he  is a steal.   A smart, solid G in all phases of the game.  Yes please.)

Kaleb Mcgary- fast riser, big RT prospect projected as high as late 2nd (Drafting a RT early would be a tell about Moton's plans...)

Zach Allen (BC)- DE prospect  (I like  his fire--holds the edge,  big.  Would be nice opposite Addison.  Could play 3-4 End as well,  if there is anything to that rumor)

Amani Oruwariye- CB prospect project low 1st

Daniel Jones- fast rising QB

Ryan Finley- round 2-4 QB  (His stock is dropping and I think he  is better than most think.   If he  is there in the third and Cam's shoulder is fine, I take him and give Turner a project)

Drew Lock- big armed potential 1st round QB

South:

Tyree Jackson- Big athletic mid round QB (Completion rate abysmal.  Could Turner  whisper him to Cam II status?)

Jaquan Johnson- Miami saftey, some have as the #2 Safety in the class  (Versatile and solid)

Will Grier  (He is a player who could drop into the second round--is he a Dalton or a Clausen?)

Montez Sweat  (too small--we have Haynes)

Oshane Ximines- ODU edge rusher prospect, some have as high as early 2nd  (I like his fire and athleticism, but  after watching video and reading some scouting reports, his technical issues were not a factor at ODU---they will be  in the  NFL--developmental?)

Rock Ya-Sin: safety prospect a few have as high as 2nd rounder  (Watched some video on  him and me likey.)

Hunter Renfrow (should be there late.  I see the WR corps as Moore, Smith, Samuel, and Wright at this time.  Renfrow would be a great fifth WR.  Possession guy with good hands.

David Sills- Big, midround WR

Mark Fields- dad played for the panthers.  Clemson, Nickel prospect

Daylon Mack- mid round NoseTackle prospect

Jaylon Ferguson (Stud who can hold  the edge and get some pressure--I think he will rise and could be a late first/second  rounder)

Austin Dillard- OT prospect

Ben Powers- Big Oklahoma OG prospect

Elgton Jenkins- #1 Center prospect in the draft

Anthony Johnson- some projected the deep threat as one of the top 3 WR in the draft coming into this season.

I bolded those I have been looking into--added some  comments....Let me know if you disagree, agree.  Nice post.

Bradbury ive seen most everywhere as the #2 Center.

Real athletic kid who is still learning.  Dude came to state as a TE

Sweat Squashed the too small rumors

Hyanes was 235

Sweat came in at 252 today at the senior bowl (Derek Barnett came in at 259)

Yannick Ngakoue for the Jags is 252

Also, Joe Jackson out of Miami who some people like is 255

He's the same height as Pep, and longer than guys like Pep, Taco Charlton, Davenport, etc.

Dude has the frame who could easily pack on a few more pounds

Lol at the hand size. Hunter Renfro catches the ball. Beckham has made amazing catches and has good hands. Is it just hand size that does it? Nope. Beckham measured in at 10”. Seems impressive until you realize that KB has 10.25” hands and Funchess has 9.75” hands. If you can catch, you can catch. If you can’t bigger hands don’t help.

Those sticky gloves they use nowadays helps a lot also.

Saw a story on Outside the Lines or one of those shows that talked about the gloves and how they are having a huge effect on receivers.  They had a group of receivers from some random high school and demonstrated how they struggled to make one handed catches with regular non-sticky gloves, but when they put the sticky ones on were catching everything thrown at them one handed.
