Maybe if you’re taking one of those cheap flights that stop three times on the way. I took Norwegian in August out of NY for like $750 all in. Wasn’t a great experience at all but doable.

Wish we knew the dates because flights were actually really reasonable as of a few months ago. We just went from jfk to London last month for less than $700.  If you didn't need to pick your seat then you could do it for under $500. The other airports (philly and Newark) weren't much more expensive either.

Really bummed I missed the deposit window.  Will there be a waiting list so once spots open up we can get in?  As of right now, it is only 60K award miles for a round trip flight to LHR non stop from CLT.  I plugged in random October dates and got that quote on American Airlines. That's got me covered!

Me and my wife paid the deposit.

Never been to Europe.  We figure we can take train to Paris and spend 2 days there as well.

I have taken that trip.  Economy or tourist was sold out, so we had to take first class.  The first class prices weren't that bad, and the food was very good.  Best way to travel from London to Paris.  I would suggest booking your train tickets in advance though.

Good idea. Lots to consider.

Last time I went was many years ago but my ex father in law and I ended up arriving in London, taking the train to Victoria and then off to the Chunnel train to Paris. Easy trip and much better than taking a plane (which we did when we returned to London from Normandy a few days later). Other than seeing all the famous stuff (which I admit was cool as hell), Paris was kind of a "meh" for me, it's another big city with a different language. Had a way better time visiting the WWII sites on the coast and the people were all great.

I’m over there next week and will have better info when I get back. I’m not anticipating the trip being sold out, I just needed to pump the brakes because we had so many people register so quickly. Just need to confirm the total capacity of what we can handle and the tickets I’ll have. Gotta make sure this isn’t a FYRE Festival situation.

Got to wait for the specifics but my plan is to spend the week before in France then probably check out London for a few days after.  Its actually a good time of year to go as you miss the summer crowds but the weathers still pretty nice.
