no, it's because a gm job is more than just win/loss, that's a TEAM achievement, gm plays a role just like the coach in a team success....i don't make up whatever, this is elementary football logic

So if we hired a GM tomorrow whose last 5 teams went 30-50 with no playoffs, how would you feel about that hire? And that same team went 51-28-1 with 4 playoffs without him in between tenures.

And no other team has even offered a job?

That the guy you want running your team? What logic makes you happy with this?

there’s no argument needed, if Rivera goes then he should follow even though he’s done a decent job. Mainly because Rivera should go and we don’t trust hurney with hiring the new coach, at least I don’t. As far as roster building, the guy did the best he could given resources and circumstances. I can only really point to three mistakes made since hurney was rehired, Gano over Butker, Galuden over some of the safety’s still on the board at the time, and not releasing Ryan kalil for some extra cap room.

You’re changing this into yet the 50th millionth Hurney vs Dg debate that I’m quite frankly not up for since I could care less for both. Cool dg got another job with the giants congrats to him, but some of the moves he made and picks he made before his departure have hampered the team, it is what it is both failed to bring a trophy to Charlotte

What else? You can’t show anything, so you say. I can show I've where defended Hurney.. I can prove my lack of bias. Show me where you can prove you aren’t completely biased?

boom goes the dynamite

Bear meet trap, this is the dishonesty I was mentioning, what an amazing cherry picked argument you just made, a gm with his last 5 teams?? Is this this real life? A gm who happened to make his way onto 5 different teams in 5 different years ?

Anyway to more facts, you know the rams gm ? The guy in the super bowl? *In my Shannon Sharpe voice* skip can you tell the people at home what the rams gm record was before Sean Mcvay *sniffs slightly*

so with your logic, a guy who is responsible for maybe one of the biggest turn arounds in football this decade should have been fired years ago because he was hitched to a incompetent hc who couldn’t get the most out of the talent he drafted or agents he signed ?

Hold this L

So Snead keeping a coach he should have never hired for too long is your logic to keep and accept what we got. Did we switch coaches? He hired Rivera.

Why is it cherrypicked? You claim that before

both 5 year periods had Hurney in charge for the previous 5 seasons. Besides last year. What years do you want to use? Just his 3 out of 12 winning seasons?

This is your trap? Those few quotes all you got? I got a couple more threads to post. Take care of this bet real quick. If I hadn’t baited you into those, you wouldn’t have any. It’s why you stopped at those.

Those few quotes ? You said I haven said anything negative about hurney, you were proven wrong accept it. You just proved my point AGAIN lol, win/loss is determined more by the hc than the gm. Re read your own quote you said a gm for his last 5 teams.....a gm on multiple teams in 5 years is a different situation. You also love leaving out hurneys early years as a gm. So is Snead’s a good gm or not cause again he’d been fired by now given your logic. You didn’t bait me into anything I had already stated all burn one quote before you chimed in try again

And you said I always bashed Hurney? And you were proven wrong? With many posts. And I have more if necessary.

And by “teams” I clearly meant the last 5 teams he set up. Now, instead of avoiding let’s address how you found ONE exception who wasted almost a decade of the franchise before waking up. Has Hurney woke up? Back to the magic and hope logic.

Post some more. Mine are ready.

i said in threads about hurney you are always defending dg/bashing hurney, proven wrong? you just posted links to threads, i'm not about to search threads for your post,i posted my exact quotes you can too don't be lazy. i can find more that was just one of the top of my head, jerry jones lol, should he fire himself because the cowboys haven't done anything since the 90's even tho there roster stays stocked with talent? again head coaches have more impact on win/loss than the gm.

So now we go with Jerry Jones. A running joke of the NFL. Many coaches. Same results. So yes Jerry should be quiet. What does that have to do with this? Are you just babbling and hope something sticks.

Don’t read them. Proofs there. Don’t care if you do. I’m done anyway. Gotta go buy some hope.

Yeah should have known you’d skate on you bet, how’s he a running joke ? Multiple playoffs appearances in the last 10 years, only reason people laugh is because of how annoying cowboy fans are so it’s great to see them lose, as a franchise the last 10 years, they’ve had a good amount of success under your rule, win/loss

You're not understanding how it works, dude.

You see, winning and losing aren't that big a deal, but every year the NFL hands out a championship trophy to the team that had the best offseason. They look at who made the best draft picks, best free agent signings, trades and all that.

Granted, it's all kind of subjective but that's okay. The "offseason winner" trophy is the most prestigious prize in the league. And the GM's that win it are revered throughout the entire NFL landscape.

So now you understand...

Yeah, except that's all bullsh-t :eyeroll:

I posted it. You choose not to read it. Much easier than filling up this thread with 30 posts. Button understand. The only way you can be right is to ignore it. Like Hurneys job performance.

How many playoff games have the Cowboys won in the last 20 years?

That’s your words, you said out of your mouth you’d post your quotes, I’m not going to i do extra work on a bet you insited on, what sense does that make, just admit you’re too lazy and move on. Muti quote button is a magical thing that helps not muck up threads with multiple post, try it sometimes. Now we’re changing the narrative again! Lol win/loss buddy is your words now you’re changing it to playoffs wins.....

They are posted. It’s funny how you act like you haven’t read them. That’s adorable.

So if I post all of them, the way you want, are we done with the bet and you lose. How many do I need. 40?  Because I’m not doing it for you to weasel out on some BS again.

I haven’t changed anything. You keep bringing up random GMs with horrible resumes. One is with a team that was awful for over a decade. One who can’t win playoff games. Is either what you want from our GM?
