At this point we need to do both.. We need a immediate impact player and a young prospect because we let this position get old quickly.. We need atleast 2 maybe 3 DE's brought in..

Our depth chart looks like this right now Addison, Efe, and Cox..smh

Yikes...that’s ugly haha.

3 DEs this off-season is a must.

I hope I'm wrong, but I think a lot of us are gonna be cussing and throwing things on draft day when the #9 pick is on the clock and one of the top pass rushers in the draft is still there.

Its going to be painful.  Everyone is going to think about the "could have had" in every round.

I could really see us trading up in the second.  That win is going end up costing us another potential player.

I don't see our GM or HC being in the think about the future mode.

More specifically, if we were picking from those presented in this thread, he was the most prototypical, and seemed the most athletic.

What’s your input?

prior to leaving the game with an injury against Wisconsin he looks to be easily contained.

once he's engaged or blocked that's it stick a fork in him he's done.

awareness against the run is inept to say the least.as teams would run right at him on a regular basis.

sorry but besides a quick first step I see no wow factor in this kid

should've stayed in school.

That lines up with some of the drafting reports I read, although they also say he’s got ability and natural instincts to get to the quarterback, needs to get stronger, and his run defense needs work.

sounds more like a 3rd rounder but his highlight videos look pretty good.

It will be interesting to see where he goes.

Based on the highlight film, Ferguson, Bryant and Jackson all look good. Bryant just seems to carry his weight, and just has that attitude you look for in a DE. Jackson I agree with you, he can be molded into a monster with the right coach. Ferguson was eating. And has had good games against better level of talent. Any of these guys I'd be fine with.

I like Chase Winovich from Michigan as a 2nd round option, but ideally we need more than a couple of rookie pass rushers. In fact, we really need at least one new starter in FA + a depth player before the draft.

Did not see this--see my post.
