I’m in the club after 3 kids.

No one has mentioned the best part, you get to wear jock straps again!  Haha

I got insane bruising, even taking it easy and icing for 3 days.

Really? I had zero bruising. Really the single stich was the only thing to indicate something was done.

Had mine about 8 years ago after my 8th kid.  I was 47.

Doctor gave me 3 Valiums and told me to take one 3 hours before.

I took all 3 and washed them down with a 24 oz beer an hour before.

Slept through the whole thing.  I woke up when they removed the tape holding the head to my stomach, that stung.

Funny story..  I had mine about 23 yrs ago,,,   Back then they did it two ways,,   One mall slit underneath the scrotum  .. or two slits from above, left and right.

I didn't get my Dr's name off a match book cover lol, but he did the two slits on top.
He numbed me,, then preceded to cut, tie or what ever he does the tubes.   I felt him pull on the tube and grunted a little..  It did not hurt,, I just knew he'd pulled the tube..  He stopped and said,  " did you feel that ? " .  I said yes and the Dr said he didn't get me numb enough.. I said it didn't hurt,, but he still numbed the area a little more..

So,,  I come out,, my wife waiting,,  and she said how was it.. I said I could feel him doing it..  etc.. and she just rolled her eyes..  like,, I've just pushed a watermelon through the smallest orifice in my body ,, you baby ...

A couple of minutes later the Dr comes out and the first thing he says, " I'm so sorry I didn't get you numb enough"  and asked how I was doing ..  My wife was like a deer in the headlights..  " you felt it"  etc.  I said yes,, but I can deal with pain

To this day,, she apologies for giving me a hard time LOL..

  • 4 weeks later...

Just saw this. Had it done about 3 years ago. Was nervous about it, but we had just had our second kid and it was a rough pregnancy for the wife. Plus with the health risks that come with birth control pills long term we wanted something permanent. I was well into my 40s at the time and my wife was still in her 30s so the idea of having more kids that late in life just didn't sound good. My wife had gone through a couple pregnancies so I figured she had done enough. Instead of her getting her tubes tied I figured I would do my part, take one  for the team, and get snipped.

I was real friendly with a bag of frozen peas (really the best thing for it) and in a few days I had the benefit of a very grateful wife helping me flush out any stragglers for the next couple weeks.

It really changes nothing except there's no sperm. 100% juice. No seeds. No worries.

Vallium was nice. Didn't sleep through it though. It really was just a little bit of pressure. Wasn't as painful as getting kicked in the balls when I was young. I was more sore the next day or two, but it wasn't so bad. It was a great excuse to sit around and do nothing for a couple days and my wife babied me. I didn't have to do  or get anything for myself.

    • His o loaded with swift, dj, Keenan and Rome was inconsistent at best. The d was bad. And the game management was atrocious and lost them games.  He was terrible and made the team worse. I wish they kept him
    • That is my point.  I think teams make a huge mistake when they pay their decent to average QBs top QB money because they feel that they have to match the market or lose their investment--There is no way, for example, that Tua or Prescott or Murray should all be making more than Mahomes--I mean, Dak makes $15m per season more than Mahomes. People say, "Well, when its his turn...." But that is not how it should be--so my point was that Bryce can be doing mediocre to good enough in 2 years, but the way it is going, you have to pay him at the starting QB rate--currently $60m.  So even if you think he will continue to improve, at $60 m, he would eliminate any chance for a ring---so my view is, if he is not elite, you cut him.  So you draft QBs now and see what you can make of them.
    • With two 4ths and three 5ths I’m hoping we can kill it on adding depth. Take a gamble with the two 7ths.  First 3 picks id love to address the defense. I expect Tuttle, Robinson, and Jewell to all be on the 2025 roster but not after that. Be a good time to add depth and let them develop a year.
