His salary in 2019 would be 13 million and next year would 10 million so honestly you could sign him on a 4 year deal for roughly 15 million signing bonus which is this year's salary and total of 40 million which for McCoy would be good given he has had some minor injury concerns.

If he’s on the shelf at a KMart Blue Light Special then I say yes, with our cap space I doubt it unless Hurney does some house cleaning.

Not saying McCoy would replace Davis as the vocal leader of the defense but he would be a great asset on and off the field

This would be really dumb of the Bucs. You don't get rid of one of your best football players to facilitate a scheme change. I've always said that good coaches can be successful if given the perfect pieces to execute their scheme but great coaches can modify their schemes to get the most out of their players.

Why would a pass-rushing DT not fit in a 3-4 as an edge lineman? Seems perfect to me...

His first step was a gift from the gods. He's another in the looong list of what-if he was healthy. I still member one game against the Panthers, he was UNBLOCKABLE, even by double teams. Few plays the Panthers even tripled team him, with little positive results.  Suh and he are always tied together and given suhs recent fall, McCoy looks like the better player in an overall career.

Fans in general, hate that we play as much zone defense as we do. Those VERY same fans ask every off season when we are going to switch to a 3-4 defensive, which is primarily zone defense!!!!

Don't make stupid statements and then get pissed when you get called on them.

Your base D with the front seven has little to do with your coverage sheme. You can run man or zone equally effective with either front.

In fact, last year the four teams that played the highest percentages of man defense all run a base 3-4.
