Today vs Tomorrow

We have holes everywhere on the team.  We need a lot on both the Oline and the Dline, plus safety help and slot corner help.  What we have on the team is a lot of offensive weapons and a QB that could thrive if healthy and given the time.  I believe Teppers approach to this is..........

Cam has 2 years left on his contract, we know he is a franchise QB when healthy and has made bad Olines look good/decent.  Rivera and Cam in together and they are going to stay together or leave together.  Tepper is going to give Rivera, Hurney and Cam 2 more years to get this thing going in the right direction.  IF Cam can get healthy and show he can play with all the weapons around him, great, we still have our QB and our coach.  IF he cant get healthy and we continue to lose well then it might be time for Rivera, Hurney and Cam to leave and we can start fresh with a new coach, GM and QB.

Until then we can use what resources we have and draft young talent on the Oline and Dline and fill holes where we can in FA.  Either way doing this will either help Cam and Rivera or we will have a great young nucleus in place for the next regime that will be coming in.

Lets hope Cam is healthy and we can take off next year and build off of the 6-2 start that we had and make a super bowl push.....

I don’t think Tepper is willing to wait two years. If Ron and Co have another losing year I think Tepper cuts bait after the season. I think Tepper is trying to build the team the way his next coach and GM would want it.

Then why not cut bait now and let your next GM and coach get it the way they want it?

We have no real idea what Rivera and Hurney can/will do with Tepper as owner. They were off to a 6-2 start, although  I thought that was a fluke,  in their first year with Tepper as owner and we have no idea what the discussions have been between those 3.  It’s possible that Tepper understands things a little better than us, no?
