CJ misses 1 reception, gets sent to Rivera's dog house and not played again then eventually cut.

Funchess drops 5 passes in a game and continues to get playing time.

Rivera is a fuging clown.

And people defend that fuging clown lol

No after watching one game I am not ready to call him a great player.

I’m sure you’d be the same type of fan that would call CJ Anderson a terrible player if he fumbled once and was struggling tonight. Easy to make flash decisions and call him a great player when he’s having one great game...

Good player in the right situation don’t get me wrong but it’s not like Gurley is getting shut down and CJ Anderson is saving the day. Both backs are absolutely gashing which tells me the Rams have a good OLine and the Cowboys aren’t playing well.

And again with Anderson only being signed on until the end of the year it absolutely made sense for both the Panthers and Anderson to part ways.

So I'm guessing you're not aware of what Anderson did in the last few games of the season...

Also worth noting that Todd Gurley wasn't active in those games because he was hurt.

But yeah, it's just one game... In the playoffs... against one of the best defenses in the league...

What does that prove, right?

Actually this is one thing that Rivera should be rung up over...Hurney too

PS:  CJ just scored his second TD of a playoff win for his new team

Rivera and Hurney screwed up on this one royally

This is a Norv screw up plain and simple... If Norv used or wanted CJ on this roster he would be here..

Hindsight is 20/20

AND

Anyone who is not in the Panthers inner circle that is making assumptions about the decision making process to release CJ needs to remember that whole ass-u-me thing.

Its easy to say it was the wrong call looking at this game.  Put a seven figure salary (yours) on the line and make the call in real time.

And FWIW fug both Hurney and Rivera.

He’s not a “great” player and he was only signed with us until the end of the year anyways. He was cut by the worst team in football shortly after us and the Chiefs weren’t willing to even sign him after working him out. Don’t act like anyone could have predicted this kind of success for him in the playoffs.

Yes he’s good in the right situation but a lot of NFL RBs are. Our problems this season had absolutely nothing to do with the lack of playing time for CJ Anderson and if you think so then you’re absolutely crazy.

You can certainly find reasons to criticize Rivera but this isn’t one of them.

Actually it's a very legitimate criticism ...

Yeah I’m sure you felt this strongly about Anderson after the first Atlanta game too.

Lol some of you guys on here live way too in the moment. I didn’t see any of you feel this strongly about Anderson before today but now that he has one good game on national tv you are all freaking out.

Pretty pathetic.

p.s I’m not an Anderson hater and think he’s a good player, but like most of you at the time I absolutely understood why we parted ways with him. And I’m sure next season Anderson will be in some teams rotation as a solid running back putting up okay numbers but half of you seem to think he’s the leagues premier back after one game.

It's not really hindsight.

If you went back and looked at the discussion that occurred around the time he was cut, the vast majority of us were going "WTF?"

Wrong again.

When we signed him, everybody was ecstatic.

When he got in Rivera's doghouse, most of us thought it was stupid.

When the news came out that he was cut, the majority of us were going "WTF?"

This is not some brand new revelation.
