Anderson wasn't good enough for Carolina

Yo, we went from a top NFC seed to losing 7 of 8 to close the season.  The one win coming against the Saints backups after they clinched the 1st seed.  That may have something to do with it.

Sure and it’s not like I am happy we lost those games. And fire the fools for winning that game too lol. It’s more than that though. Cracks were showing   Even when we were winning

People bitching because we don’t play the rookies. And DJ throws the game away against Washington I think it was. Chance to pull it out was blown but only weeks later does all that fall on moron coaches. At the time it was the players that did not perform. Samuel not a rook but wasn’t playing. Heart condition that involved surger and being extra careful as they should be, not good enough. More fun to bitch and blame Rivera and Hurney. It is irrational.

Calliing Rivera a moron makes people feel better I guess.

I don’t understand why Cam was handled how he was but guess what? I have a feeling this was discussed with the owner. It is like why Anderson was cut. There are things we don’t know and jump to conclusions on,  that if we really thought about it and admitted we don’t know the true whole facts.... possibly if we did we might understand why things happened.

I am not getting sucked in any further. Shouldn’t have posted but really I think there is truth to what I originally said about where peoples’ heads are. I found another place or two that are nowhere nearly as active but people are less strident and more thoughtful/less reactionary and try to go there. But I love football and love the Panthers and this is the busiest place there is that I know of so I come here. I should not try and change it because it is like trying to stop the tide from rising.

Bottom line is Ron Rivera and his staff sucks. Terrible talent evaluator. Doesn't make in game adjustments. Start washed up veterans over younger players. Release the wrong players, but sign s h i t ty players because their brother is a captain on the team. And let's not forget their clock management skills. There is more....

A HC is always the first guy that gets looked at in losing streaks.  We lost 7 in a row, that's not solely on Cam's shoulder or isolated in-game instances.

The collective fan's opinion this offseason has many heads and as fans, we can't know what really goes on.  Anderson may have a very particular personality and there were definitely players having poor performances here and there but the coaching issues have been apparent for YEARS and people are just spent at this point.  Things run their course and it's happened with a majority of the fanbase.  Time for the coaches to finally respond or they'll be packing.  From this, you get hyperbolized frustration, best to expect it and not get frustrated.

I don't follow anyone in threads, you or otherwise. You can't but see Scot-hate-Hurney-Rivera posts in every thread, like those are productive posts.

You ultimately can't squish anyone's optimism, however guarded, hopeful or even existential that it is, but you can be annoying as hell, and dishonest about being a voice of reason, simply patronizing, and simply almost mean-spirited in your responses to others' opinions.

And he's been doing this bitchy poo 3 years now..

That's exactly why I do not post often.

Everyone has opinions, but its become a shitstorm here-less discussion about football and more about other posters.

I can’t read this place but for a few minutes at a time because of all this crap in practically every thread. It is always chicken little the sky is falling but has morphed from Gettleman vs Hurney to something else now because Gettleman’s moves have mostly been exposed as less than genius.

Now it is Rivera, Hurney et all. Even the new owner is a moron for not firing them both because someone missed a tackle in week 12 or something. If Rivera and Hurney made water into wine there would be a post blaming them for the wine sucking. If Turner drank it all and got loaded and lost the sheets with Anderson’s plays on it, it is somehow Rivera’s fault. And so forth and so on.

Keep being dramatic. Sorry some people on here have standards and realize that Ron Rivera is a joke of a coach, and Marty Hurney is an ex-newspaper columnist who is in no way qualified for the job he holds. The guy got a total of zero interviews after being fired the first time around.

I wonder if they'd let you post here if they had to implement standards.

So...ducking the question (again, not a surprise)

We had a down year that year but still made the playoffs. For the record, I would have been equally happy had we made the playoffs with a bad record this year (as was discussed).

Smith? He never even approached the Super Bowl again. We were in it one year later. Anderson in the Panthers look to be on the opposite path from that result.

But since you failed to answer the question, I'll ask again: If we have a lousy season next year, do the people in charge have to bear responsibility?

Your question is pretty dumb, man...

Let me get this straight: you want to know if the people responsible for cutting CJ Anderson prematurely this year, bear responsibility for if we do poorly next season? Even though CJ Anderson was only signed to a one-year deal and in all likelihood had no chance of re-signing with us next season? Try to walk me through your logic here cause there doesn’t seem to be any.

In that case, I will answer your question: no.
