Anderson wasn't good enough for Carolina

See what? You still avoiding the question at all costs? Accusing others of having “motives” when you’re the most agenda driven poster on this site. Your usual schtick? Which post explains away my question?

7-8-1 then 15-1

Ok lets wait a year before we start bashing the staff for releasing Anderson. His release may propel us into the Super Bowl.

Nah.

So tell me, if we don't improve and have a better season next year, what argument will you use to show that it's somehow Dave Gettleman's fault and Marty Hurney and Ron Rivera should still be trusted?

How is this relevant to the topic?

I don't follow anyone in threads, you or otherwise. You can't but see Scot-hate-Hurney-Rivera posts in every thread, like those are productive posts.

You ultimately can't squish anyone's optimism, however guarded, hopeful or even existential that it is, but you can be annoying as hell, and dishonest about being a voice of reason, simply patronizing, and simply almost mean-spirited in your responses to others' opinions.

And yet you said that was what I was doing

You in fact, actually acted as if me expressing my opinion was somehow dangerous to the fanbase.

(and here I had no idea I had that many disciples)

I don't care that much about how they do with their new team. I care a lot about how our team does.

A year after Smith we were in the Super Bowl. If we're in the Super Bowl a year from now, you'll have an argument.

How hypocritical can you get, man....so back then you were content withholding criticism until a full season later, and now you’re ALL over this at the immediate conclusion of the same season we released CJ Anderson. You wanna point out your heated posts when the Panthers went 7-8-1 the same season they released Steve Smith? Let’s not even consider the difference in impact between cutting a #1 WR and cutting a back-up running back lol.

You don’t care how they do with their new team even though you’ve stated repeatedly in this thread alone how much dumber we look after CJ Anderson’s last few performances with the Rams.

Because it's what you do.

Toomers is correct. That's where the vast majority of your energy goes.

I committed before this season to the idea that Marty Hurney deserved whatever credit was due if we had a successful season. And I commit to the same thing next year because that's how it works.

So if I ask you now to commit to the idea that if we have a crappy season next year, the people in charge are to be blamed, are you willing to do it or will you try to squirm out of it?

Were we a better team after releasing Anderson? Did we pay MORE money to actually get worse?

No matter what his production was here, or now,  CJ was our backup plan if CMC gets injured. Whether he was playing a lot or not. We were 6-3. But we cut our best option and spend money to do it. His production today is irrelevant. There was no logical reason to make a team worse and pay for it.

No one is arguing we were a better team...the argument is that there is very little logic to suggest that keeping CJ Anderson would’ve won us more games. Here is the *somewhat debatable* order of weaknesses in our team that contributed to our downfall this season:

1) Coaching staff

2) Defense

3) Gimpy QB shoulder

4) Offensive Line

5) Devin Funchess dropping off a cliff

...

....

...

27) High price of beer sold in the stadium

28) Stale dance moves from the cheerleaders

29) Ineffective running game

Because we do. And plenty of people are saying it in places other than this board.

Same question as above: If we have a lousy season next year, who gets the blame?

Did Smith's release make us worse initially?

My Gettleman bashing is a conduit to counter Scot's idiotic messages he spews on a daily basis.

I said in so many words that that is what you were trying to do---and that it was pathetic and not befitting of a forum member of your standing or man of your age---not that you were succeeding at it.

"Dangerous" to the fan base? That's truly laughable! LOL

I would never give your old, tired, negative, patronizing modus operandi that kind of importance. ROFL

We were 6-3. Like any RB, CMC was one carry away from being out for an extended time. Then what? CAP and Barber and telegraph every play? You plan for these scenarios. I never once brought his production up. He was being underused. But his value was as an insurance policy.

Now. Please explain how this was a good idea? Not why some other idea was bad, so it justifies it. Just this move.

So you do have a mission, and it's to counteract me. And that's so important, you'll gear your posts to that specific task.

Basically, I own you :)
