You want to contend again, right?

Guess I'm not down on RR/Hurney as most are, but constant bitching about what is already done is a waste of energy.

I can certainly stick it out one more year with them.

& If they can't get it done next season under pressure being squeezed + the young core we have, then its probably not ever going to happen, and I'll get on the burn it all down bandwagon then.

But until that happens it is what is.

I understand, but the flipside question would be what does saying something positive about it accomplish if it isn't true?

Same thing as saying something negative..  NOTHING

Tepper hasn't given me any reason not to trust his judgment yet.

So I'm choosing in this instance to trust him & hope for the best.

I have no trouble hoping for the best. Expecting it is another story.

As to trusting Tepper, I need a reason to do so. The lack of a reason not to isn't good enough, plus keeping a losing leadership team is a reason not to.

I'm not expecting anything, we'll see what we see.

That's where we differ I don't necessarily need a reason TO trust him, especially with someone of Tepper's business acumen making his first moves as a owner in the NFL I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Like I said, I can hang one more year, we tank and its another miss the playoffs sub .500 season and he keeps them again....yeah then I have some concerns amigo.

But not yet.

I'm sure people were saying the same about Richardson. If the past few years of this organization has taught anything it has taught to not blindly trust the owners.

Makes me wonder if there’s another coach Tepper can’t have this year so he rolled with rivera for another year and will make the change then?

we will have 100 million in Cap for 2020, and assuming Cam isn’t back next year, another year of suck and high draft picks—

much more friendly to a new coach.

Letting TD walk signifies the changing of the guard. It also signifies this team is finally willing to do what is necessary to quickly become a contender again.

The bad news: The old look Panthers are no longer a serious contender for the Superbowl.

The good news: This new look Panthers could be a contender very quickly.

The Panthers desperately need to get younger, espescially on defense. Everyone loves to complain about how gassed the defense looks all the time. The remedy is finding talented young players who are hungry. You can't do that if you have players in their mid 30s still starting.

TD, Peppers, Adams will be gone.

Shaq will have a year to prove his worth. The Panthers need to really see what he is capable of before they extend him.

Munnerlyn is only 30 but plays in his mid 30s. Panthers can save a couple million if they release him. I suspect that will happen.

This is more than just a roster move. It is a psychological move signifying to up and coming players that real competition will exist on this team.

Younger players will see these positions as job openings. The result will be increased competition resulting in defensive play we can be proud of.

I'm a TD fan, but I am a Panthers fan first and it isn't close. This move and moves to come are completely necessary if we hope to contend again anytime soon.

When they're done they're done...
