What has Reid contributed to the Panther success since he came.  We loss (7) straight games.  I personally, as a  CP fan, am not interested in his personal issues.  I want to see production from this team on the field.

yes, better safety play is exactly what caused the 7 game skid.  we're not interested in your personal issues either.

The NFLPA is one of the worst players Association’s of all professional sports.  it is not surprising the owners have the NFLPA on a leash. so please stop talking about how they’re for players. they are not for players well-being and they always get screwed in negotiations.   They will Forever be fuged over by the owners they’re not willing to flex a single muscle and will take whatever the owners give them

The NFLPA is weak for 1 reason.  The sport.

Careers are short, the number of players is HUGE, and rarely are the majority of players willing to sit (and not earn) for any real length of time.

The owners have more leverage, and the PA knows it.

Y'all have argued for 17 pages over an issue where there is no where near my enough information available to form any sort of legit conclusion. Anyone coming to a conclusion about this issue right now already had their mind made up due to emotional reasons and no amount of evidence will convince them otherwise, but y'all keep arguing in circles.

Well then they should adjust and flex their muscle accordingly within that context. I was around when the players went on strike. The so-called scabs playing football wasn't good. It was akin to "fake football."

What do they make like at least $400,000 per year? Prepare, make plans, be conservative, and sit.the fug out if you have to. The owners and networks don't want that. It's their worst nightmare. Vince McMahon would be smiling though, as would his BFF.

You are talking about a bunch of 21-24 year old men, who have had very little real life financial education (for the most part).  Take out taxes (they get taxed at a very high rate), agents, fines, all the hangers on, etc...and they don't keep nearly as much as it seems.  Not to mention, they don't get paid like us.  They get 16 checks per year....and you think teachers bitch about being on a 10 month pay schedule?

At the end of the day, the fringe guys, the last 5-8 players on rosters just can't cross their arms and sit on the sideline taunting the owners.  They may get 1 year, maybe 2, and they have to do number 1....look out for yourself and your family.

The big boys, on their 2nd and 3rd contracts have learned about money, have likely kept their noses clean to have made it this far, have real savings in the bank...those guys can afford to sit...they have some leverage.  Problem is?  There are a lot more that aren't able, nor willing to risk those paychecks.

I'm not about to tell players what to do with their personal lives or their financial freedoms.  They are adults at the end of the day.

Football will likely always have a "weak" union, just the way it is.

The NFLPA will be there for you to and can help you with thinking how to post a comment before making it and not just ramble on about nonsense you always post.

All the more reason for them to require more of the NFL. after all NFL stands for not for long them wanting to get guaranteed contracts   And etc when they are putting their bodies through the ringer is not crazy.  Like it has been stated before  Football is a very physical sport and does have physical  consequences when you retire. You put your body through hell and you have a limited amount of time to maximize the amount of money you could make. The goal for the NFLPA should be to do was best for the players. All these rule changes I feel like they could push for that to change ( more simple and consistent rules) but they’re not willing to even try to flex at all. The owners best interest should not even come to mind because it’s business they are coming from one side the owners are coming from another. However it doesn’t seem like they have that mentality. These players provide a unique talent/entertainment that   Not everybody has you can’t just replace them all and that’s just the truth. they do have value and they should demand respect for their craft and to be paid what they’re worth. The relationship between the owners and players  is one component depending on another component, back and forth.   So the players  have an important role just like the owners. They need one another, you shouldn’t get punished for just stating concern for people being targeted you could be targeted for anything but whenever you bring up race people get so I don’t know how to describe it besides it being anger.

The NFLPA does have the players best interests at heart, they are just limited by their power.  They can flex all they want, and come time to sign the next CBA...the players will be right there to sign it.

During the last round of negotiations the players wanted less practice time, less mandatory OTA's, less padded practices during training camp.  The owners were more than willing to give them that.  The vets wanted structured rookie wages (bad for young players great for older players).  The owners held firm on the franchise tag, but gave up some of the profits.

This is a back and forth, the players CHOSE not to go after the weed rule, they wanted other changes more.  Maybe this time around they will be smarter, but I doubt it.

    • Yes.  And this converts directly to confidence.  Does the coach have confidence to call a deep dig or seam route?  Does Bryce have confidence in his ability to be the Alpha?  Do his teammates have confidence.  About film--when I see Cam Newton's pre-snap confidence vs. Bryce's, it is night and day.   Film--tells you if the WRs are open (why l love watching the Replay telecasts from the end zone cameras--you can see it.  I have seen 2 WRs open and Bryce's eyes are on the outlet WR or the pass rush. )  You can see progressions, and he has improved a bit--but he is very quick to rush through 1 and 2 and checkdown--that is a lack of confidence in his ability to read the defense.  I had a former NFL TE (Deems Maye) who played QB in high school (not sure about college) tell me that the best QBs read the defense by knowing where everyone will be when the ball is to arrive--not where they are.  I think his QB at the time was Humphries.  He said that Humphries would throw the ball into coverage before the cuts etc.  because he understood DB momentum, zone areas, etc.  and he could just see it.  Said so when people say nobody was open, they are usually right because nobody should be "open" when the QB has the ball--when the ball arrives, everyone should be open.  He said Humphries was never "great" but his skills were limited--from a small school--but his ability to read a defense made him never give up on a route.
