coach/gen mgr.   duh. duh. duh.   has tepper spoken?    wtf?   silence means erything fine

Absolutely he has spoken.  In fact, he's spoken more since he bought the team then Richardson did in the last decade.

What exactly do you want him to say or do?  Hold daily press conferences?  Please do tell...

I am assuming Cam returns and will play the full season with his previously abilities.

We have a lot of money tied up in Cam, and rightfully so. His health is top priority and all other priorities rescinded. Throwing short passes can make a shaky o-line look better than what you really have. We have an o-line that can't protect Cam. Unacceptable. We have the kind of line you put in front of Pickles because who cares if he gets killed. It doesn't have to be that way. We don't have to have a poop patchwork line, but it might be too late anyway. Our QB might already be ruined, but I'm taking the position that he's returning.

Round 1: LT

Round 2: C

Resign Williams to play RT.

With Moton we have depth for the OT positions and a top quality OG. We're set at OG.

Any talk of DE can be made once Cam is protected. A DE should be added via FA so that we get a player ready to contribute now. Cam comes back and it's win NOW. If Cam is done then we're in rebuilding mode and the plan changes.

People need to quit including Matt Kalil in any future plans. He is not playing for this team again.

As much as we would all love that, it very well could happen if we do not re sign Williams. His contract really makes it hard to cut this year even as a post June 1st cut

It’s a lot easier than giving him 7M more to suck. And still have 9.8M to cut after that. So why wouldn’t  they cut him if there is no financial gain to keeping him. You don’t keep throwing money at a sunk cost. If they were keeping him, he would have played  last year when he quit on the team. But the staff wouldn’t let him. It’s over.

Plus his brother has openly talked about retiring so it's not like we have to worry about offending the good one.

    • Yes.  And this converts directly to confidence.  Does the coach have confidence to call a deep dig or seam route?  Does Bryce have confidence in his ability to be the Alpha?  Do his teammates have confidence.  About film--when I see Cam Newton's pre-snap confidence vs. Bryce's, it is night and day.   Film--tells you if the WRs are open (why l love watching the Replay telecasts from the end zone cameras--you can see it.  I have seen 2 WRs open and Bryce's eyes are on the outlet WR or the pass rush. )  You can see progressions, and he has improved a bit--but he is very quick to rush through 1 and 2 and checkdown--that is a lack of confidence in his ability to read the defense.  I had a former NFL TE (Deems Maye) who played QB in high school (not sure about college) tell me that the best QBs read the defense by knowing where everyone will be when the ball is to arrive--not where they are.  I think his QB at the time was Humphries.  He said that Humphries would throw the ball into coverage before the cuts etc.  because he understood DB momentum, zone areas, etc.  and he could just see it.  Said so when people say nobody was open, they are usually right because nobody should be "open" when the QB has the ball--when the ball arrives, everyone should be open.  He said Humphries was never "great" but his skills were limited--from a small school--but his ability to read a defense made him never give up on a route.
