Fox willing to bench Jake

fox has no choice here. the problem for him is this - if he continues to go with Jake, he will lose the team completely (if he hasn't already). Whether Moore or Feely, it doesn't matter but something has to change or the players are gonna question the coaches ability to make decisions.

No matter how much Fox wants to go with Jake, I truly believe someone else will be under center next week.

I personally do not see how Fox has any choice but to start Moore next week. Jake has thrown multiple interceptions in all but 2 games this season while throwing 1 INT in the games he didn't throw multiple picks. Just by definition of what John Fox wants to do its amazing that he hasn't already pulled the trigger. This team stand NO chance of winning with Jake at the helm. He has held this team back the entire season and if you could image his TD's and INT's switched then this team could easily be 5-1 or 4-2 right now. There was not one throw that Jake made today that Matt Moore couldn't make and even though the throw to Barnidge was absolutely on the money I feel that Matt could have done it the same. There is no reason why Jake should be taking snaps next week.

That's pretty much what I was getting at too, I guess. Some people just need to temper their expectations for Moore a little. And no one should be shocked or surprised by Fox staying conservative and putting Feeley out there first.

I'm all for playing either at this point, what the Hell could it hurt?

If Moore doesn't get 1st nod then it's another indicment against FOX. To have a player on your roster for 3 years you have no plans in using. He could have cut Moore and had Cantwell as a 3rd option. Then too start a player you brought in after the 1st game before him is crazy and shows no trust in Moore. So he would be done as viable option at all and we know how Fox cares about QB feelings.:seeya::seeya:

"I’ve got faith in our backups, but (making a change) seems like a break-glass-and-pull-the-handle type of thing if you do that.

Jordan, do you realize that we are 2-4 and have just lost to one of the crappier teams in the league. If it is not break glass time, then I dont know when it is.

He needs to bench Davidson too. Jake wasn't the one calling 44 passing plays...

Yeah, it's Davidson's fault for the 1st Quarter INT thrown way over Barnidge or the overthrown and not even on target pass to Smith when he's finally open a little.

Guess what? It was Jakes fault that we needed to call 44 passing plays. Their offense wasn't on the field much because Jake set them up for easy scores. So we fall behind, then when the game is starting to end you have to pass to try and get back in it.

Don't make excuses for Jake, it's getting way too old.

I need to update my signature.

might have won the game if we ran 60 times..

Oh please. The run stopped being effective because they loaded 8 and 9 guys in the box and dared Jake to throw. They knew he couldn't, and he's the reason why they won.

We'll see every QB on this team by the end of the year, and it really won't mean much because there will be a new coaching staff in here next year anyhow.
