Fox willing to bench Jake

If they are going to bench Delhomme I would prefer Feeley.
Sorry dude. If Jake is benched then Moore is start. there is no way AJ is going to start over moore. AJ has not proved crap to be number 2. Why would fox pick AJ over Moore who knows the playbook inside and out and been here longer and is number2 on depth chart. You can dream dude but will not happen. Moore would have to get injuried for AJ to get a chance.:ack2:

With as much stock as Fox puts into playing experience, you're high if you don't see a real chance of Feeley starting.

Besides, the only reason Moore is #2 is because McCown broke. Moore hasn't been able to beat anyone out since his arrival unless you want to count Cantwell. Don't expect him to beat Feeley either.

He said the same thing after the Philly game but then quickly gave Jake his support the next day.

The comments I read were a bit different, more that he would bench a QB but he wasn't going to bench Jake after that game and he thought it was a fluke or something. I could be mistaken, but I had thought that was from his postgame conference. You are right that after watching the film he claimed that the mistakes weren't Jake's fault.

Moore played better than Vinny or Carr in 07....he didn't "beat them" for the job per Fox. I agree Feely will jump Moore this week on the depth chart....but that doesn't make Feely the better option. Just like Vinny and Carr weren't better in 07.

Yes, Moore was better than Carr, who was a complete wreck, and Vinny, who was old and unretired to come play for us and broke down.

I'm more than happy to eat my words if Moore lights things up, but he hasn't shown anything recently to suggest that he will.

well, the last time he was given a chance to show what he could do was during his 3 starts in 07. If Jake played the entire preseason w/ backups he would have looked like garbage also.....instead Jake played the preseason as a starter w/ the 1st stringers....and didn't throw a single TD.

Moore isn't going to light things up. He won't turn it over at the rate Jake does....which will make the team better.

Moore has had plenty of chance to move himself into the #2 spot since 2007. He couldn't make headway against a marginal Josh McCown.

The guy so far is Brett Basanez Part 2.

I really think Fox will go with Feeley because he has more gametime experience and that will make him feel it's the right call that gives us our best chance to win.

Again, if Moore DOES get the nod at some point and tears it up, I'll happily come back and eat crow. I'd LOVE to be wrong.
