I don't really disagree because that's how I work in my daily life when I lead others.

But let's also turn this around and look at it from his perspective.  He's not the player.  He's not making tackles or catching the ball.  As a teacher, I can only do my best to try to train kids for a test.  At the end of the day, it's up to them.  Are there things I could have done better?  Sure.  I'll do better next time.  Hence the missed opportunities.

I don't disagree with both of your sentiments though.  The buck stops at Ron, and if the team is under-performing, it's on him.
