If you’ve been following twitter today you’ve seen Greg Olsen be very analytical and outspoken over what’s been going on in the games. I’ve noticed he’s played a lot down the middle... just like a commentator would. 

Practicing for the short term future or for a year down the road? Torrey Smith thinks he’s ready now.

Greg would have to give back a sizable amount of his signing bonus if he decides to retire and go to the booth in 2019.  A lot more than he’d make as an announcer.  

He will wait a year, collect the rest of his 11 mil and go to the booth in 2020.

The only MNF game I watched all year was our's against the Saints and I could not believe how bad that group was. Greg would be an instant upgrade over any of those people in the MNF booth.

honestly i dont know why he would want to continue playing, he has hurt his feet 3 years in a row. he is clearly very well spoken. he can continue to be around the game while not getting hurt and still getting paid, seems like a win/win to me.
